Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
This is big news for our program. To be able to produce our own live TV broadcast is a big leap for DJ and the crew, and to be on in our 4 biggest markets in NC is huge. I hope to see more of these broadcasts in the future!

If you are not planning to be in KBS and you are at home with U-Verse, keep in mind that U-Verse doesn't have sub-channels so go get an indoor HD antenna if you are trying to watch in Triad (12.2) or Triangle (50.2).

Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
Does anyone know if there is anywhere on line or some place that may be carryinbg the game in Myrtle Beach? This will be the first home opener I have missed since 1998 and if possible want to watch the game on TV, Computer, etc. Had to choose between Howard or Clemson so being born a Clemson Fan and an App State fan by the Grace of God I chose the Clemson game. Apparently you have to take a beach vacation each year. Any help is appreciated.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I have a meter that tracks my media use for ratings. However I can confirm that if I do have said meter I will be sure it is tracking the game so it will help out ratings.

Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
I have to ask. How are we able to do this with ESPN3 also showing the game. Are they now going to use our feed and save those costs in production with the trade off being we can show the game in our markets or will there be an ESPN3 crew, the App State TV crew and of course the audio crew for radio and internet feed from appstatesports.com?
I figured ESPN would be wanting an exclusive on this or some large fee to cover the lost viewership possible.

Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
Pretty sure there will be two productions, App State TV for local NC stations and ESPN3.
ESPN 3 will be blacked out for NC viewers. So, if you are in the RDU area, you won't be able to get the ESPN 3 broadcast.

How bout we all drive up the Mountain and see it, vs. watching it on TV. This team is putting in the work and we really need to make the effort to support our Mountaineers. See you there. Go App!

I have to work EVERY weekend we have a Saturday home game this fall. This does motivate me to get there for GaSo and if I survive on little sleep for the next day at work I will do the other Thursday game I hope.
There are lots of reasons some of us can't make the game and appreciate the options we have.

Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
Okay guys, do not plan your Saturday based on this, but you might try installing the Hola Chrome extension so ESPN3 thinks you are in Canada, or wherever you choose. I know it works in general, but have not tried it for blocked EPSN3 broadcasts.sixtoes9134 wrote:Pretty sure there will be two productions, App State TV for local NC stations and ESPN3.

Good lord, I thought we were finished with these exotic channels after we left the so called Small Con. Still way proud that we are getting to produce our own TV event.

What's exotic about ESPN3? It's the future of sports programming.

I think he is referring to the sub channels, not ESPN3.

Re: App State game with Howard to be televised
To have two productions and be televised throughout NC (regardless of sub channels) and nationally on ESPN3 I think is totally awesome!
