ODU Pre-Game Talk

Unread post by /\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 » Sun Sep 20, 2015 3:55 pm

Who all is headed to Norfolk? Hopefully we have a nice crowd attending. Blessed to have an away game so close to many of our fans. I will be there with 3 others. Any word on Alumni tailgating spots?

I'm predicting we start slow after a bye week and have to come from behind for a close win.

NCSU did exactly what I recommend we do, stack the box and make their QB beat us. I like our chances.

The opening line is out on the game . App is an early 7 point favorite.

Imo this game is huge! We really don't know what we've got .We will after this weekend. need to have a big game ,a loss would really be a let down.

I'll be there with two others. Can't wait. Really wish there were some word on an App tailgate area.

Something I really payed attention to in the Clemson game that I did'nt bother to watch at all last year. Taylor's arm speed. Seems his throws while on target don't seem to have much zip on them. With corners and safeties that have speed this is a problem. As far a ODU I still cant tell if State was a decent team or if ODU is a half decent team (unlike Charlotte...just had to say that).

It's early in the season, therefore, at this point it's hard to get a complete picture of where various teams stand. However, I will say State is a middle of the road ACC team. They pretty much had their way with ODU. With that said, if we show up focused Saturday, we should leave with a "W". I'll leave my score predition for later in the week.

I think, like us last year at this time, ODU is still trying to find out who is there best players, and what is the best way to use them. I think they will be pretty good later in the year, but right now, I think they are struggling. It obvious our first priority is to stop the running game, and make the freshman qb beat us. I think we are probably 10 to 14 points better than ODU, but we better bring our A game, who we could go home with a loss.

We need to win this one. Wyoming looks VERY beatable but ODU scares me. I think the boys will show up focused and win 28-21. This will be a tough, blood, sweat and tears type of football game. Safe travels to all Apps making the trip. Go Apps!
