Re: New Format?
I was prompted to download a new android app, tapatalk, which lets me log in and post on this forum using a slightly better app interface (vs using the Web browser on my phone). Does anyone know if we log into the app using the same info we've been using on Yosefs cabin, if our old rep points will transfer over, or if we start from scratch?

Everything should transfer over and work seamlessly between the two. I use Tapatalk and browser and have no issues.APPdiesel wrote:I was prompted to download a new android app, tapatalk, which lets me log in and post on this forum using a slightly better app interface (vs using the Web browser on my phone). Re: New Format?
I encourage using tapatalk. Same credentials and it syncs with our website so if you read it on tapatalk it will mark it read so when you log in from a desktop you don't see it still unread. Tapatalk does not have all the features and goodies that the main version of the site has, but it's great for doing what most of us do, read and post.APPdiesel wrote:I was prompted to download a new android app, tapatalk, which lets me log in and post on this forum using a slightly better app interface (vs using the Web browser on my phone). On a semi-related note, I just found out that posting youtube videos is a lot easier now.

Yep - same with other common video sharing sites. The bad news is that old posts with youtube videos currently aren't showing the youtube video correctly - still working on that issue as well.AppinVA wrote:On a semi-related note, I just found out that posting youtube videos is a lot easier now.

I don't like the fact that I have to wade through all the old posts to find those that I haven't read despite clicking on unread posts. Also no longer displays on my Kindle.

hapapp - For now - click the yellow Yosef head next to the title of the post. That will take you to the first unread post like before. Working on getting the title to do the same.hapapp wrote:I don't like the fact that I have to wade through all the old posts to find those that I haven't read despite clicking on unread posts. Re: New Format?
We need a special button just to post all the goodness that is classic Simpsons. That is my only request at this point.AppinVA wrote:On a semi-related note, I just found out that posting youtube videos is a lot easier now.
That and the ability to mark as read all the posts I want to not read but make it look like I did. I know I speak heresy on here not reading every post.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: New Format?
On each forum main page (and on the message board page) there is a button on the right just above the first post/forum that says "Mark Forums Read" or "Mark Topics Read". That should do the trick on marking forums read for you.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:We need a special button just to post all the goodness that is classic Simpsons. I'll take the Simpsons request under advisement but I wouldn't hold your breath

Re: New Format?
Can you do a screen capture and show me where this is? I have looked thrice alas to no avail. Could this be from using a specific browser it not showing up? I am using Chrome as I type this.Yosef wrote:On each forum main page (and on the message board page) there is a button on the right just above the first post/forum that says "Mark Forums Read" or "Mark Topics Read". Also I need a "Smilie" that has cheeks extended as I try to neither inhale nor exhale.

Is there a way to get rid of the notifications/new messages bar at the top of the window?

My screen lists the topics vertically instead of horizontallyYosef wrote:I haven't tested the ipad or iphone yet as I've been working on the laptop/desktop version. Will continue to work on those as time allows. For anyone using any mobile devices though, I HIGHLY encourage you to get the app "Tapatalk". It is a completely free app (or at least it was when I downloaded it) and it does a great job.

Re: New Format?
I'm confused - I think all screens list topics vertically regardless of platform. Can you expand a bit more on the issue?NewApp wrote:My screen lists the topics vertically instead of horizontallyYosef wrote:I haven't tested the ipad or iphone yet as I've been working on the laptop/desktop version. Re: New Format?
The topic or folder goes vertically down the page a couple letters at a time. You can't read it normally horizontally.Yosef wrote:I'm confused - I think all screens list topics vertically regardless of platform.
