This Cowboy offense may be one of the best we face. They average over 400 yards a game. Their problem has been on defense. It will be interesting to see what impact the weather will play on that aspect of the game.

I love the shutouts and hopefully this will be a goal for our defense. Don't let up! I just hope the weather doesn't turn the game into a turnover filled, messy affair. At least they won't be slopping around in the mud. I will stick to a prediction on another thread- a 400 yard rushing day for the Apps.

After watching our boys perform well in the rain (heavy at times) last week I don't think the rain this week will slow us down too much. Some of the best performances throughout our history have come in bad weather. Wyoming does throw the ball well, but the rain could help limit that some. Their big time receiver is also nursing some bruised ribs he suffered against NM so that could impact him. The combination of our defense and the weather should make it hard for the Cowboys to score. I expect us to run the ball early and often with a good rotation of our 4 backs. Plus you better believe Satt is giving them a history lesson about the last time we played Wyoming.

Bad weather makes me nervous when we're the better team, but the last couple times we've played in it, it's seemed to work in our favor.

With the list of extenuating circumstances leading up and happening during the game, I find it hard to really come up with a reasonable pick. Sometimes the hard thing is the right thing, so I'll put it out there anyway. I feel like the weather helps App more than Wyoming, and bolsters an already dominant defense. On the other side of the ball, there is still a propensity for rather dumb mistakes by the App offense. Heavy rains, high winds, App'ss big uglies being bigger and uglier than theirs, conservative play calling may the be route to take.

What are the chances this game gets postponed ? They are predicting some pretty catostrophic amounts of rain and flooding for our area.

Cannot believe no one has predicted this yet although T-dog came the closest so I'll go all "the price is right" and say:

If we plan to snag a decent bowl bid, it better not be that close. But if the weather is pretty bad, I can see how it could, weather being an equalizer in most cases. Just hope out big scores haven't left us over confident.
