Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
Truth to this?
"Fritz said App St fans using laser pointers during the game affected the Eagles on a punt, kickoff and FG attempt #FunBelt #GATA"
If so.. then how classless of our fans who are doing this. They need to be hunted down and tossed out for life. Not even remotely acceptable if there is validity.
Anyone see this in action?

Not to fan the fire but I did see green laser go right inside one of there kickoff returners helmet. At the time I said that had to have distracted him. He did catch it though.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
There were at least a couple of announcements during the game giving warnings about using a laser light.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
Good Grief. I know it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game but that is completely classless and puts a taint on what was a great win. Do we have to do full searches of every fan for any game that will have darkness during it? Almost impossible to catch unless someone sees a person doing it. And you've got to figure the ones closest were in on it since people tend to sit in groups. Anyone they actually catch doing it should be banned for life from setting foot inside KBS. This team does not need idiots pointing lasers to win.

Do we have an end zone camera facing the risers that could be reviewed to see if we can ID the culprit(s)?

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
Ok The kid shouldn't have done this and should be tossed out for the season, at least.
However, Fritz needs to stop whining and moaning. Does not make a difference at all in this game. I re-watched the game and there is no punt or kickoff that looked in jeopardy. Also, I'm not sure if anyone has ever been a kicker, but looking down in a helmet would be hard to get a laser in your eye.......who knows, maybe this kid has some Jedi skills using a laser and caused us to win.
Just to restate this should not happen. But, fritz aka mr Rodgers needs to stop publicly whining. He's trying to get the sun belt involved and play the "media" game to draw negative publicity to us.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
I don't like our fans doing something like this, but considering all the crap their fans did last year I don't really care what Frittz says. That doesn't even take into account the BS they've been pulling out on the recruiting trail. What goes around comes around Willie. Oh yeah, in case he forgot the final was 31-13.

You mean 38-13. Oh wait, we took a knee on their two yard line. Fritz must have forgotten to mention that.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
Listen he's not doing anything that I wouldn't want our coach or any other coach to bring up. It is a serious issue. He didn't say it cost them the game. It was classless, dangerous and reflects poorly on our fans who pride themselves on good sportsmanship and hospitality. Just because WF does certain things on the recruiting trail it doesn't justify anything that COULD cost someone a game. I hope we find the sob that used one and send them home for a semester or longer.

GaSo fans are talking about it but no suggestions that it had any effect on the outcome of the game. Most realize we whipped them lasers or not. This is stupid and should not have happened.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
No, our coach has too much class to cry about fan actions the week after the game. I didnt hear Scott complaining to the media last year when their fans were throwing signs out onto the field during actual game play. Talk about getting someone hurt, imagine if a player from either team had stepped on one while running down the field!
That doesn't justify what one or two of our fans did, but Willie and his fans aren't innocent in any way.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
It's not the first time a jerk fan has ever shined a laser pointer, but "they do it too" is not nor will it ever be an excuse. Coach Fritz bringing it to the public ensures that if anything like this happens again anywhere else in the league, the conference will be all over it.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
any idiot that gets caught doing something like that should be banned for life from all games, hope somehow they find out who did it, he/she embarrassed the University. As far as Fritz and GSU fans, ya, I see your point about Fritz going public to make sure it didn't happen again, but I don't think its the only reason, If it was just that, he could have quietly gone to Benson and made his complaint without anyone knowing. You can make a case he is alittle bit of a sore loser, who is trying to drum up alittle sympathy for himself and his program.

Re: Laser pointers at GaSo Game?
Definitely did not see it on the missed FG attempt, but there was a laser pointer on the kick returner a couple of times. Nobody was amused in my area and were actually relieved that there were no issues with GS catching the ball.
