Okay, now I'm confused. Accoring to CBS Sports, the GoDaddy Bowl is: MAC #1 against Sun Belt #2. However, just checked another site and it stated: GoDaddy (MAC #1 or #2 vs. Sun Belt). Therefore, I'm not sure. At this point, I'll wait until Saturday night and see. Cheers.

The Go Daddy Bowl will tie ASU in some ways with Danica Patrick. Not too bad!

ESPN's McMurphy is now predicting the Camellia Bowl against Western Michigan

Schlabach has App State in New Orleans against Southern Miss

Anyone have any idea what time on Sunday the invitations will be announced?

Not any more it won't. She severed ties with Godaddy earlier this year.

DP still represents Go Daddy, just not as a NASCAR driver. Go Daddy has moved on to global enterprise and marketing. I'm surprised that the company's still putting money into collegiate sports.

ESPN just posted that the first Bowl Matchup is set:

Western Michigan vs Middle Tenn St in the Bahamas Bowl. Dec 24th, that's worse than the 23rd.

The organizers knew from the get-go, and know now, what to expect. Last year in the inaugural affair, Western Kentucky beat Central Michigan, 49–48. I caught it on the tube. It was a helluva entertaining game--but no one was there to see it in person.

The Nassau and US media reported it this way..."The announced attendance was 13,667, but USA Today reported that attendance at the 15,000-seat Thomas Robinson Stadium in downtown Nassau was considerably sparser. The lower sections of the stadium, in direct sunlight, were nearly deserted as the few hundreds of spectators clustered in the upper rows, in the shade. The small stands behind both end zones were closed off."

Did I read correctly that the Sun Belt and AAC are in the Bahamas' Bowl rotation?

If that is the case and due to some rather favorable and unusual extenuating circumstances, should an App State v. ECU match-up ever be set, I've a decent shot at convincing the family to do Christmas in Nassau for the game.

A lot of noise on the Sun Belt board from Southern fans saying they are headed to the GoDaddy Bowl. Apparently they sold more tickets to Mobile than we did which isn't surprising.

Sports Illustrated has App vs Ohio Camelia Bowl and GSU headed to Mobil. Date, location, and attendance best for both schools.

So looking like Montgomery. Definitely not complaining, we'll play a similar caliber team as we would have in Go Daddy and Montgomery is closer for App fans and at a much better time. Although if we lose Saturday I could easily see Montgomery taking USA again which would send us to Orlando.

Looking like the Camelia in Montgomery, provided a win this weekend.

It comes down to pre-orders. GS fans pre-ordered more for Mobile than App did. Distance and date are the biggest factors in that. Plus it maximizes attendance for both bowl games with their available options.

How do we know that GS sold more tickets?

There may be some assuming going on on. Perhaps some faith put in internet rumors. I doubt anyone here would mind if you delved into compiling some more empirical evidence. Have at it and make sure to report back with your findings.

GS has a similar fanbase in size to App and is three hours closer driving they are going to be Abe to travel better to mobile especially that close to a Holiday.

I can comfortably say that this is the first time I've ever wanted GS to beat us at anything.

The University of Georgia at Statesboro also has the advantage that they don't have to seek permission to go from their cousins or siblings and wives because they are all the same people. Less permission to seek=more likely hood they will be allowed to go to a bowl game 2 days before Christmas. The hardest part will be having to explain to their kids why daddy didn't get them a present this year: "Well sport, there just wasn't enough money in the bank to do both Christmas presents and see the iggles play in Mobile. Sorry Junior. Don't make the same mistake I did and go to a school with terrible academic stature"
