When the obnoxious advertising drives enough traffic away things will likely change, or maybe not. I see no point complaining about it anymore. It has not worked in the past and won't likely work this time either. It is what it is.

Nothing wrong with that. It isn't always ideal, I know I miss things on other forums using it, but I can honestly say I haven't visited the desktop site of the Cabin since the Clemson game (for game day chat) and before that, it was probably the previous football season. It is second nature for me at this point.

I guess I am just lucky, but the site works fine for me on my desktop, phone, and tablet. Windows 10 using Chrome with adBlock and Tapatalk.

Please do not take the appearance of inaction as me not caring that people are not having a good experience. Contrary to popular belief, I am not sitting idly by - grinning as I imagine your phone redirecting you to a site where it says "Congrats! You won!", knowing full well that you haven't won anything! I'd also like to point out that this doesn't just affect our site, it affects thousands of sites and it comes and goes. Maybe some on here don't visit those sites, but search google and you'll find plenty of articles discussing it happening all over the internet, not just on Yosef's Cabin.

I am definitely well aware of the issues facing mobile phone and tablet users and it's on the top of my priority list to address in the offseason. These issues weren't prevalent prior to the upgrade as we had a mobile version of the site built. When the upgrade came along, a mobile version of the site wasn't ready to be added. Whether someone likes tapatalk or not is their opinion, but it does deliver all threads and posts to your phone/tablet without the issue of redirects. I personally felt that it was better to roll out the upgrade without the mobile version and push people to use tapatalk while a mobile version of the site was being built, as opposed to holding off on the upgrade and waiting until year end. Due to the amount of traffic we have grown to be getting on a daily basis, the upgrade has, by all accounts known to me, significantly improved desktop/laptop performance.

I can assure everyone a mobile version of the site is in the works, but unfortunately it's not a simple flip of the light switch and it takes time to make sure it's done correctly and that it doesn't negatively impact the user experience on laptops and desktops. I'm hoping to finalize it by year end.

Also - I did make a small change that I expect will have no impact, but if you notice that your mobile experience is all of a sudden significantly better, please let me know. I don't expect it will help with tablets but it may help with mobile phones.

I don't know when you made that small change, but as I said earlier, my experience has improved significantly on my phone the last couple of weeks or so. Nowhere near as many redirects. I appreciate your efforts.

Like others, have had lots of iPad issues. Don't own a laptop. Safari and Chrome both didn't let me read posts. Found an alternate browser that helps with posts but video is bad. I find i visit the site less. But i appreciate the admins hard work to maintain the site!!

As I have offered many times Yosef, I will host this site for free so we can take the ads off. The ads are what is causing the issues. I run a Web development/Web hosting company and have the space needed to host this site with no issues.

You always mention the ads are just to cover your costs and nothing more. Well, if I host if for free, you don't have any costs and no ads are needed!

At the risk of getting flagged for unnecessary roughness, I can't get it to work with Microsoft Edge. I have some success with Chrome but it locks up when I try to post a lot. Of course that could just be a self defense mechanism, lol

An issue I'm having is that it doesn't remember me on my phone. I have to log in every time I go on where I didn't have to do that in the past. Anyone else?

On my droid I have to sign in each time or I get the "Bad Gateway" page. And I occasionally get the "I won" page as well. I like to keep an eye on things going on and I don't always have my laptop. Thanks to Yosef and others who do work to keep this site up and running.

This site also has trouble displaying on chromebook. I have to log out and log back in to get it to display properly.

Did anyone get some virus warning or a request to update firefox after gettin on the MMB?
Got a message saying application was trying to access passwords and bank accounts...I know it's not my virus software

For me, site takes forever to load and a 'long running script' causes it to crash constantly. I would be willing to pay for a membership if it gave me an ad free and/or a faster site.

The free adblock download has stopped all ads for me on here. I still get the pop up on my iPhone, though.
