I want to see Joey succeed and make the NFL.
If he makes the NFL, that can be a selling point to App. Come to App for two years, do well to get looks from the SEC which can propel you to the NFL. Pulling for Joey to succeed is to also pull for the status of your own football team.
I’ve been parroting this for a while, but we need to become the Borussia Dortmund of college football.

For those unaware, Dortmund is a German soccer club in the Bundesliga. They have the task of trying to keep up with Bayern Munich in Germany which is financially impossible for them. Dortmund continually found themselves losing their young talent to bigger clubs and instead of battling that, leaned into it.

They’ve come to define themselves as THE club in which young potential superstars can develop and launch their career into the stratosphere. They occasionally catch lightning in a bottle and make a run at a title with a team of 18-20 year olds, and the of course lose them all in the transfer window.

We will never keep up with the P2. But we should lean heavy into being their development pipeline.

“Come play QB at App State if you’d like to be an SEC QB your senior year”.
How dare you compare the Sun Belt to that farmers league

I'm 100% behind this if we can turn the hill into the "yellow wall"

Appalachian is not for the meek. I have never met anyone that graduated from App that did not like it. If you do not like it in the High Country, you leave. We need a winning football team built around that. It took a long time for Appalachian to win three national championships.

No amount of money will ever get you a team that wins every game if that were the case the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees would never lose.

I think Dowell Loggains has set himself up to do quite well in Boone if he is given the chance and support, he needs to make it happen. I believe he has all of those things. The nicest thing he has, as well as all the other new coaches in North Carolina, is the Circus in Chapell Hill to distract everyone else across the country from what is happening at Appalachian. I like where we are right now. It sucks that we lost a conference game, but we did not lose to Charlotte and that is a plus overall. Yosef just likes Mayonnaise more than Norm.

Technically we did not lose to Southern Miss we lost to Marshall, which sucks even more.

Aguilar’s interception on the slip cannot be held against him. If the receiver had not fell down on the cut, the ball would have been in his hands and that drive would have continued.
