Oh. It's just simmering right now. Wait until Monday to see the REAL melt down.

And that hurt will roll over to everything else in the area too, including a drop student application. Winning made everything increase and losing will have an effect too. I'm not sure that was well understood by those in charge over the last 5 years that put us in this deep slide. With the success the program enjoyed once, there is no valid excuse for how far we have dropped. None.App91 wrote:Just remember when you talk attendance you are talking revenue. We are in a world of hurt here. We will see close to 1MM less revenue from attendance.

"We have never been able to pay our coaches enough to attract established previously successful coaches at or above our current level. We have to get them on the way up and hope they like Boone enough to stay and be happy with lower pay. Think Brakefield and Moore versus Woods and Brown."Apptiger wrote:Winning is infectious and losing is contagious.Black Saturday wrote:And that hurt will roll over to everything else in the area too, including a drop student application. Casual fans will quit coming without a winning product. They will stop buying t shirts and hats too.
Short term I am more worried about money than anything. We are in an uphill battle already and big drops in attendance means big drops in money, donations, sponsorships. Business revenue around town suffers and the relationship there suffers too.

Assistants will also take less to learn more and study under someone with experience and a winning tradition.
Scott is family I think he would stay here the rest of his career but he doesn't have the experience, track record or network to attract assistants for the mentoring so we're back to the money again.

This "game" last night wasn't the straw the broke my back, it was a bale of hay. App has my money as they have for the last 20 years, but no longer my time this season. Three home games seeing this is enough for me... we are not even good by FCS standards. I'll catch the game at home while painting the bathroom, or playing a game with my kids... anything. 6 hours round trip to watch this is not a good use of my precious weekend time.PhillyApp1 wrote:I will be there for every game GOD enables me to attend.

And the victory for the Flames, who have endured frustrating losses, took on an extra twist. The program wants to move from the FCS to the FBS like Appalachian State has, and having been passed over by the Sun Belt Conference, registered a sweet victory in its first game against a Sun Belt team.
"It's great for Liberty as a whole, playing a Sun Belt team and beating them, and showing that we can play with this conference,” quarterback Josh Woodrum of the Flames said. “We can be in this conference."
