Well I’ll say good job pulling it out of our ass.
Great kick. Hughes has a leg.

The violations for the sanctions for NC State would be a slap on the wrist today, especially compared to UNC—Eric ChurchMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:32 pm
The guy that got NC State NCAA sanctions? I'll take a clean program that graduates students over a Jimmy V endorsement.

I'm not forgiving the nature of this game, but I'm still ecstatic with the win. For the players.
I have my doubts, but maybe we build on this.

Do you really think those 4 turnovers are on Clark on any coach? And I mean directly, not the proverbial it all stops with the head coach bs.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:37 pmWhen did I say that? Im glad we won..... Im on cloud nine! Hughes came through and Favors did his thing to help the win. What Im saying is that to win a game that we obviously were not prepared to win or made many changes to try and win.... just shows where the coaching is. Thats not wanting us to lose. I said it in another thread. I hope Clark rights the ship and we win every game from here on out and he gets a job with a P5 and makes bank.

Bro clark is a horrible coach and just squeaked out a win due to his kicker coming through like few college kickers ever had.
Hop off Clark’s jock and see the light. Our team has the talent to beat anyone and we beat the worst team in the league by a miracle

Blood probably flooded his brain, without a neck to regulate the flow his brain just didn’t know what to do when his heart rate got above 60.
But seriously I would have gone for it too. Probably not that play call, but I still agree with his call. If they’re stopped on the 2, it’s a different set of plays that App has to run.
Give 'em hell!

Re: ULM game broadcast
Okay. I’ll bite. He saved the time outs and had all three to force them into giving us one last chance. That, not the field goals, is what cost us last week. Still, we are celebrating snatching a game from UL-MONROE. Let that sink in for a minute.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:38 pmEveryone that bad mouthed Clark for the loss last week should at least give him credit for pulling it out this week. Sure it was ugly, but we found a way. Clark was criticized (by many) for losing the game in the final moments, well those same guys should give him credit now. Fair is fair. The game was not good, we played very badly, too many mistakes, make a bad offensive team look like a Tom Brady lead Patriots, BUT we found a way to win. Great clock management to end the game, and I challenge anyone to dispute that. I didn't like the game but we won.

I agree with the second half of what you said here and the clock management was great. I disagree that Clark is to blame for losing the game in the final moments last week. I think he lost during the entire game.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:38 pmEveryone that bad mouthed Clark for the loss last week should at least give him credit for pulling it out this week. 1-0 in conference play. Score means little. We found a way to win when we didn’t last year.

Re: ULM game broadcast
See, I don't think that stuff was luck as much as it was a true belief by the players that they could win regardless of what it seemed. This type of belief is made by winning in tough situations year in and year out. Since our revolving door of coaches started, our players seem to have lost the continued belief of this because we just haven't had the wins. Teams need to learn to win. I hope this is the first step in our learning curve and that we build and advance.app_gorilla wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:40 pmFor so many years we had a horse shoe and a rabbits foot shoved somewhere deep.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:33 pmGuess it was our turn to pull a horse shoe out of our arse, bout time.

We got out coached by Bowden (tatter) but we do live to play another day. I am hoping we have a good quarterback battle next week, love Joey, but need more consistency.

Actually you didn't my bad as I let my emotions get the best of me. It really does not matter how this season plays or even the next. The reality is it makes no difference what Clark does. Those who don't like him as a head coach never will. Yet here we are demanding one side to be right over the other. I guess this board brings out the child in us all me included... Re: ULM game broadcast
I'm VERY thankful for the win, but man we got some serious work to do. That kick was stone cold amazing, but we can't keep getting into this situation. SBC is looking really good this year and I can't help but worry going forward. I'd just love at least 1 or 2 old fashioned blow out games to ease the nerves from week to week. If it's a whole season of winning by less that a touchdown, not sure my health can take that.

Re: ULM game broadcast
Coaching same as teaching. The kids have to learn ball control, when to pass or not. Some come by it naturally some have to be taught thru repetition. Game planning, how can offense be doa one week and shoot the lights out the next with 4 turnovers on top of that. How can defense shut a team down and the very next week give up 40? I can speculate but I feel most of the answers are on Coaching.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:40 pmDo you really think those 4 turnovers are on Clark on any coach? Worst team in the league? Really according to who? You? How about Southern Miss or Coastal or I don't know maybe 2 other teams in the conference that is 0-1. A little early to be forecasting who is the worst team in the league.yosef69 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:41 pmBro clark is a horrible coach and just squeaked out a win due to his kicker coming through like few college kickers ever had.

Well I’ve said it before …be prepared for every game this year to be like this .. with us winning less than more .Appgrad91 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:59 pmWorst team in the league?
