We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Gillin has hired 2 softball coaches, 1 volleyball coach, 1 baseball coach, 1 men's basketball coach, 1 women's basketball coach, 1 track and field, x country, multiple golf coaches (should cut the golf programs), and 3 football coaches now.

Not counting about 35 Yosef Club hires.

Gillin was hire late winter/early spring of 2015.
I know nothing of the situation...BUT...I feel like the Yosef Club could use some attention. As an alumni in my 30s I never hear from them and I never hear about fund raising from them. What I've been told is the organization doesn't pay well and it loses ppl all the time. I understand capital is a limited resource but the organization that helps generate capital feels like it needs some capital.

Open to being educated on this topic.
We can have a major discussion this --

1) they don't pay enough to keep good help around
2) the employees us it as a stepping stone
3) DG controls the YC behind the scenes, he just uses the staff as a front to deflect the blame and rising cost

Nothing goes on in the YC without DG knowing of it. The YC needs a guy like App alum Davis Babb that runs the IPTAY or someone like Gearld or Beasley - but DG ego won't allow it. Suzette was paid by the Foundation and positioned to work in YC, her salary was never out of Athletic budget.
I think the YC in its current state is a big missed opportunity for us...i believe there is a large untapped base, especially in the millennial generation, who would donate in a significant way. They live off the mountain and would donate if it was made simple i.e via an app or at events in the RDU/Triad/Charlotte markets.
Completely agree. I’m in that demographic and location. YC is a joke. I used to send emails in my 20s trying to get stuff off the ground; but lost interest when nothing changes

I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous and embarrassing thread. Doug's not perfect but in my opinion he's done a great job with the resources he's had at his disposal and the environment he's had to deal with.
