We are heading east to Raleigh for the weekend to see our oldest son. We are going to the NC State basketball game tonight and will talk with friends to see what they think of our football coaches coming from State. I have always heard good things about them I am pretty sure.

BBQ - Also, will get some of that great Eastern NC BBQ this weekend. As agreed by all on this board Eastern NC BBQ is the best!

Eastern BBQ is terrible. Vinegar does not belong on any food that is good.

What is the hold up on WR coach? It’s been said by a few people the coach has been chosen and even been on campus for quite a few days now. Any names or hints at who it is? GO APPS!!

Like I referenced before, there was one thing that DG was hung up on before he cleared the hire. Either they haven't followed back up due to the holidays or DG couldn't get over this particular "snag".

That isn’t quite how I interpreted the thread. I read it more as, “we are on the precipice of greatness and this new HC is going to get us there. Oh wait, we are hiring that DC? Never mind. He is awful
and should never be allowed to coach and now we are going to suck forevermore.”

What is even funnier is that Roof has not even been officially announced. The only reason everyone is saying it is a done deal is because a reliable Raleigh guy said it was a done deal. It may be true, but he doesn't work for App State. Maybe DG has his reservations and hasn't cleared this hire. Like I have said, DG is involved in all hires, this one would be no different.

Does Roof get any kind of a bonus if he coaches or if State wins the bowl game? Perhaps that's why he's staying on staff there, assuming he is our guy.

Also weird they are still listed as coaches on APPs site. The other coaches were removed immediately.

I get that, but if he is our guy, do we care what State thinks/wants? Shouldn’t he be here at App and working for his new employer?
Did Ponce, Brown or Iron Mike wait until after our bowl game?
