...and that might be an insult to insane clown posse and the juggalos! I've been on their boards and man, there's no lack of swagger from a good many posters. You'd think they sitteth on the right hand of the football gods and they seem put out that their team has to travel to a "high school" stadium. You don't come up to Gods country where the water tastes like wine and the mountains run forever and insult us...oh, hell no! I've read their queries about Daniel Boone inn and Mast store....and a few mentioned scenic drives....if I'm asked about a nice road for views, I'm gonna tell them... I-95 south!

I wonder how many of the guys on their board are alumni and how many are Wal-Mart variety fans. There does seem to be an overwhelming adolescence to the posts from many of them. A few have attempted to talk decent football only to be derailed by the rest. Hang on, Saturday's almost here!

I know we have a good team, and we played Tennessee close (not sure Tennessee was ready for us).....however, this is a well coached pissed off Miami team that has been forced to come to Boone. Their players aren't happy about that and I can guarantee that Richt will stop at nothing to win this game. I think there will be some sad App fans on sat. It would be no different if we were forced to go to Catawba College and play them this year. They could be 100-0 but we would make sure we won that game. I'll be estatic if we win, and I will gladly eat crow.....but I'll just be happy if it's close.

I honestly think ASU wins this game ... I may by myself but I think they are the better team ... Tenn win was a fluke.. ASU outplayed Tenn in every facet except the kicking game .. Their win hinged on a fluke forward fumble that resulted in a TD .. It took the Volunteers a missed extra point, a missed fg , AND that stinking fumble TD to tie us ...

Your post is insulting. Miami coming here is very different than us going to Catawba. Miami is in our same division, same scholarships, similar home attendance / gate, and the game should be competitive. None of those are true with Catawba.

What's wrong with Boiling Springs? Haha. That game was broadcasted on ESPN U. I remember watching it in Boone with a girl who attended Gardner-Webb. She was far from the most sacred student they had.

Getting upset about message board posts is just a waste of energy. I don't go out looking for rival boards as much as some of the people on here but I have done it enough to know that there are almost always some sites where knowledgeable fans tend to be concentrated and others where the ridiculous Walmart variety dominate. The latter tends to be full of extreme posts and generally isn't worth the time to visit.

So, I just read a lot of post on the canes board and truly feel significantly dumber than before. It is pretty comical though....also nice to see a P5 board get this in a frenzy over little app state. Shows how far we've come IMO.

Regardless what fans on either side are saying, the real battle will be Saturday at noon in the trenches. Our guys have been waiting for this moment to prove themselves to the "big dogs" that wouldn't even give them consideration as they made their college recruiting trips. Our guys are hungry for this game especially after coming so close to a win two weeks ago. Our Apps have the heart, the soul, the guts, determination, and grit to come out of this one with a Win. Give 'em hell Apps and beat the canes!!!
