Catchers give the location when they indicate which pitch they want. They move around behind the plate, sometimes in the last instance, to keep from tipping off the batter.

It is my opinion, the starting pitching has been rather strong and is solely responsible for keeping us in games against superior competition well into the 6th inning (Within a run or 2). What has caused the high pitch count is the defense up the middle. Can't give teams 4 and 5 outs an inning.

I am a firm believer your best defensive players should be Catcher, 2nd, SS and CF. when over half of your teams errors made season to date comes from one of those positions alone... bad things are gonna happen.

Bats are silent once more, middle of the 4th, hope they can get things going. Against better competition (ECU and Missouri) combined score is 1-16, not good.

Homerun, 3-16, Apps lead 2-1, bats showing signs of life. I believed my comment pissed the team off!

The last two innings our batters were being called out for pitches in the other batters box and our pitchers were forced to throw it belt high right down the pipe, didn't help things at all.

Can't complain about our starters but we keep losing games late because the pen can't hold the lead and we can't score enough runs to give us some breathing room.

No doubt Kermit has the ship headed in the right direction but man he will need to find some bats on the recruiting trail along with a few bullpen arms.
