Per Source: Steve Wilks Set To Become Cardinals' HC

Several sites are reporting that App alumnus and former player Steve Wilks will become the next Head Coach for the Cardinals.

I hate to see the Panthers lose another great DC for the second year in a row, but the fact that a Mountaineer will be heading up an NFL squad is pretty damn cool. Is he the first?

In football, I believe that he is our first NFL Head Coach alum. Alvin Gentry coached in the NBA.

Alvin Gentry is the current head coach of the NO Pelicans. I saw him in Memphis a couple weeks ago.

Up until J. Kidd was fired a few hours back, only 2 college programs had a HC in the NBA and NFL.

App - Wilks and Gentry
Cal - Rivera and Kidd

Now App is the only program in the country who can claim a head coach in each league. Plus 3 App’s are current FBS head coaches.
Picked up via free agency by the High Country All-Stars
