However, let's restrain ourselves from lording over others especially those in our fan base who may be less enthused about the potential news. And by all means let's avoid venturing to the SBC board and spreading braggodocio about how they better be ready for us. We should be grateful for the invite. I was there when we transitioned from NAIA to NCAA. We didn't exactly dominate the competition upon moving up. Granted we are better prepared for this move. However, we would be wise to temper our expectations.

Given our school's roots, we should be a hell of a lot more humble.

I'm cautiously optimistic but won't be convinced it's a done deal until I hear it in a press conference. Whenever that moment comes, I hope all our fellow Apps handle it with class. I fully support a move but we have had some very memorable times in the SoCon.

One thing we can count on is that Appalachian State always handles things with class.

I am not sure if I want to laugh or cry at this comment.

True that, I don't believe we will ever be able to live that one down. So, we might as well go with the flow.

RE: Georgia Southern will follow App to Sunbelt
Chad Bishop @MrChadBishop
Was told earlier that SBC is in no position to hand out any invites to future members at this time, but may do so in next 60 to 90 days.

Benson: There was no decision made today to extend invitations to any other schools
Guess we wait some more.
