That's what many of us said in 1994 when VMI was ofer and we lost to them in our own stadium and I'm assuming the Wolverines were saying something similar before our upset of them in their stadium. Each team can only put eleven players on the field at a time.

I think setting up something similar with ECU would be ideal. It would help both schools on travel costs so it would be a fiscally responsible choice for both. ECU was willing to schedule us twice when we were FCS so I don't see them in opposition of an annual game every year. Now that we will be FBS, the win against us would count towards their FBS win total towards bowl game eligibility.
Just so you know there is a new trophy case n the Athletics Center for football. By far the best display we've ever had. Once you go to the link click on 4th floor.

Some are already getting that mentality. Just give it about...say....4-6 years of fbs play and our fans will forget we were ever in the fcs and get the big head like the schools you speak of.

On the rivalries I think there are plenty out there already. I'm looking forward to creating a new one.

I have no problem playing 1 FCS team a year. We have always complained about FBS teams that wouldn't play us so it would be hypocritical of us to then refuse to do the same. However, I don't believe that we should say we will play WCU every year. I would like to rotate between schools in the area. Now if the Sun Belt is against playing FCS teams in the future we have to play by their rules. Who knows how the new strength of schedule rankings will factor into scheduling in the future.

Does anyone know how to get a tour of our Athletics Center?

Many of us have just called the AD's office and just asked to schedule one. Also, at some events, such as the signing week events, one is available, or at least a partial one.

The trophy display is on the main entrance floor and available when the building is open. With the exception of the locker room and coaches offices most of the building is accessible. I have walked in, hopped on the elevator, shot up to the suites, press box, and weight room. I'm sure if you stopped in, esp during the summer someone will show you around.

Agreed, a school like Montana, North Dakota State, etc. would work in such cases.

Could we afford to pay them to come?

I sure hope not. As long as possible, the Cant's just need to keep scheduling the SEC for their OOC games. :lol:

Scheduling is going to be interesting.

We'll play eight conference games, sign one to two BCS paydays a year, schedule two home and home with non-BCS FBS games each year, and zero to one FCS programs a year the first 2-3 years would be my guess.

4 home Belt (GSU, Troy, NMSU, Texas St.)
4 away Belt (GA St., USA, JMU, ULL)
1 away SEC/ACC game (S. Car.)
1 away MAC/CUSA game (ECU)
1 home MAC/CUSA game (Toledo)
1 home FCS program from Big South or MEAC (CCU)

Potential 2015 schedule:
CCU
@ECU (SportsSouth)
@S. Car. (ESPNU)
Toledo
NMSU
@GA St. (ESPN3)
Troy (SunBelt Network)
bye
@USA (ESPNU)
Texas St. (ESPN3)
@JMU
@ULL (ESPN3)
GSU (ESPN3)
