Has anyone seen him around the current players?
Has he completely shut himself off from them?

Best thing he could do for App is to be on Charlotte's sideline.

I believe we have some fans who just look for things that offend them. I don't see the big deal.

The fact that Judy Rose let him on campus speaks volumes to me. This doesn't bother me at all. May help get us a game with CCC.

Not uncommon for coaches to help out other coaches when not coaching anymore. There likely is a connection, of some sort, with someone on staff from UNCC with coach Moore. He's been around the sport a long time.

What does it say about their coach Lambert? Why does he need JM to motivate his team in April for Campbell and Chowan in the fall? If they really want to learn something, they might want to knock off early Saturday and head over to Ardrey Kell.

Nope...not quitting. Just having a very bad day. But mainly I meant that it's the last page for now as Baseball 2014/2015 doesn't have a lot of info right now. I'm still going to be working on it but 2013 and 2014 (as of today) Football and 2013 and 2014 Basketball are complete with player pages and 2013/2014 Baseball has the player pages done also and we should have the links set up for all to see very soon. Today was a bad reaction to medicine day. If they don't kill me trying to get me off of it I'll be back.appst89 wrote:I hope this doesn't mean you're stopping with the recruiting info. To be fair, he did state his desire to remain in coaching. He is probably doing what he enjoys best, being around football and coaching. I really don't see anything "wrong" here.WXAPP wrote:Not uncommon for coaches to help out other coaches when not coaching anymore. Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
He was at AE's wedding over the weekend posing for pictures with all of the players that were in the wedding and attending the wedding. Jacque Roman even posted a picture with him and CM saying "App State legend" or something like that. I don't think the UNCC thing was anything more than him wanting to be involved in coaching and using his abundance of time and credentials to be involved some how or some way with college football.appst89 wrote:I hope this doesn't mean you're stopping with the recruiting info. And I think Moore being at UNCC is a huge FU to ASU and everyone associated with the school.
Much ado about nothing.

I don't think Jerry's pride will allow him to be around the program for a while He is still hurting m sure. However I would hope he puts the program above his problem with CC. If he's a bigger man he will. But the reason for my post is some of the reaction from Charlotte fans. Check this out, a quote from their site: "Fine by me too. They sure do seem interested in playing us though. It seems we have instantly become THEIR RIVAL, but I don't think they understand that they are NOT OUR RIVAL. I am talking about all sports and academics, not just football. " All I can say is

Coach Moore will come around, when I'm not sure, but he will.
Not to get preaching on here, but Coach is a man of God and has read this many times:
"This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ' For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Time heals all wounds.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
Many coaches bring in outside speakers and visitors to their spring and fall camps. Coach Moore isn't an employed coach at App anymore so I'm sure he's been to several campuses watching spring practice and occasionally addressing players or consulting with coaches. The coaching profession is a fraternity. And many coaches like having an outside assessment occaeionally.
His speaking at/attending any other university's practice/game/event isn't some slap in the face to App State. He's a coach, enjoys the game and wants to be around it.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
Jerry has always done motivational speaking based on his faith and that will not change in retirement. Who cares if he gave a little talk at UNCC. I expect he will continue to spread the word with every opportunity he gets. I still don't understand why App fans care so much about UNCC...we appear to care more about the 49ers football program than most of their alums do.

The vast majority of their players didn't even have any other offers.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
In regard to coach Moore: I don't see this as anything more than an older man with a ton of time on his hands and a HUGE void to fill in his life. You have to understand that he's coached Appalachian for 24 years. You can't just hang that up and go play shuffle board. Seems like he was in the Charlotte area and wanted to speak to a team.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
I think too many people on this board have some kind of divorce syndrome. They love and then after the split that turns to hate. They didnt want him, but dont want anyone else to either. Coach Moore was and I hope will be a great asset to ASU. As I see it he is free to do what he wants. I imagine he was there to give a few words of encouragement and maybe a few coaching pointers. Contrary to what some on here would say he is a great football coach.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today
This is just another huge manufactured issue for people who want to pick at scabs. There is absolutely NOTHING unusual about a coach visiting another team and giving motivational talks, or even providing feedback to the coaching staff. Coach Moore did this kind of thing with JMU, Georgia, and tons of other programs while at App...and their coaches gave us feedback as well. UNCC isn't even a "rival" of ours. We have zero scheduled games, and they are not in our conference.
It's a complete and total NON ISSUE.
