i'm hoping you mean 2,000 rather than 200. and yes, I think they are scared that we are coming into their backyard. the location was also pretty strategic as well, being closer to SC so that some of those interested players could make it up without a longer trip

honestly, Satt taking over as HC and rounding out the staff to his liking should be their worst nightmare. we have a young, energetic, and aggressive coaching staff that I think is going to be relentless on the recruiting trail.

I'd say 2,000 is about right. Stadium holds 5K I believe and one side was about 75% full, the other side just a small scattering of people.

Nope they are saying 200. If I could upload a picture on their board I would.

I work with a Charlotte grad - he actually said that they would be in the SEC within 10 years. That fan base is delusional, to say the least.

As a Charlotte fan, your coworker is quite delusional.

I was there. 1,500 is a conservative estimate. Curious to see how many are at KBS for the Spring Game next weekend.

GoASU mentioned more than 1500.

I was there, very impressed with the DL...and for you Charlotte trolls, 200 beyond ridiculous.

I sat on the side where the dressing room was, on the top row. That side was quite nearly full, with a scattering on the concession stand side...My guess is 1500-1800.... including the people who were circling the track. Vendors were there with season ticket sales, t shirt sales and there was a Charlotte TV crew interviewing Coach Satt. after the practice.

Great day.......Next week at The Rock will be epic :D

I'm far form an expert on evaluating these things, but I agree. When Wofford played us in the past, they did an excellent job of keeping the play in front of them, even though I think we had superior athletes. My thinking is that the difference is coaching. I think that coaching is already starting to show and I am hoping that in September, it will be downright obvious. I'm very hopeful.

I was sitting by the pressbox and I will say that there were more people there earlier. the crowd started thinning out about an hour or so in.

I was also sitting by the press box. Because of the proximity of the press box and a few of the coaches standing outside, we had a unique perspective on the practice. I can tell you they did not mince words when mistakes were made. The head coach of Ardrey Kell ,who was sitting a few rows in front of us, even turned around a few times. I loved hearing the defensive coaches yelling out the play as it was about to happen and then hearing the sidelines relay it to the team.

I'm the only Charlotte fan posting here. Not trolling. Haven't said a word about your attendance. Just posted a few pictures and such. Cheers.

The only thing I would have to say about those pictures, is that it would be easy to pick an opportune time to take pictures when the #'s in the seats are looking thin and then posting those online to try and spout that it was poorly attended. Not saying that was done, but having read the niner board and seen some of the opinions on there, it wouldn't surprise me 8-)

I was there, so I know that the scrimmage was well attended for what it is and where it was. exact number is hard to know, so we just guesstimate. i drove over an hour from Mooresville to get there, so I can understand some people not wanting to make the trip which would have made the number even bigger had they come

You posted a picture during warm-ups before the scrimmage got underway, of the side nobody was sitting on and near the end after most left. Nice bit of unbiased reporting there.

Here is a picture of warm-ups before the scrimmage got underway. It doesn't show those on track near the locker room end of the stadium.

Then as a few others have said you picked an opportune time for you to take your pictures to defend an indefensible point, as fans were leaving or before all had arrived. I came from Columbia SC as did few others. No pics from you however from the middle of the afternoon when the West stands were nearly full and a stream of fans going from the west side to the concession side and vice versa.......Classy.
