Mondo DuPlantis sets new pole vault WR 20'4". He is the younger brother of Antoine DuPlantis the all time hits leader at LSU and second all time hits in the SEC. Mom and Dad were track stars at LSU.

Did he have some sort of wings strapped on? Over 20' is something to behold. I watched high school kids get over 14' (unfortunately, not our kids) 30 years ago when I coached track and field and I thought at that time the Olympic/world vaulters were reaching a peak unless they improved the material of the poles. 20' is remarkable.

OOPS, he did it again. Cleared the bar easy this time. His mother is Swedish, appears he will be competing for Sweden in the Olympics.
