Some on the list are pretty dated, but awesome nonetheless. We were very lucky to attend such an awesome school.

Speaking for myself, some of us Mountaineers are pretty dated.

The trek to Blowing Rock (or Mountain City, which is always left off the list) was still in effect,
The movie was $1 (even for a double feature of Friday 13th, 1 & 2)
There wasn't any Mexican place, much less two
And Yosef had a regular face!

#41. You remember having to make the difficult choice between Wing Night at Caribbean Cafe or Half-Price Hindy's at Macadoos!

As a grad of '71, I have been around to recall all these memories - well done, thanks.

I always went with Wing Night, and then $3.25 Bud Light pitchers on Tuesday at Macadoo's! The best of both worlds!

I liked the $1 beer at Mother Fletcher's, nothing like a hundred people packed at the bar waiting for a warm beer in little plastic cups to bring back college memories. Except maybe PB Scott's Toni's pizza at $.75.

Enjoying the view at Holly's or spinning James Taylor albums at WASU in Chappel Wilson Hall in the mid '70's & watching the cars slide off the Skid Pad.(Granny's Donuts at 2am) :D

When I was in school you had to go to Blowing Rock to drink beer! Liquor was an afterthought.

I remember those days as well. I also remember when beer in Boone was voted in. Wow, the whole campus and town celebrated.

Do I remember correctly that beer in Tennessee had a higher alcohol content than NC at some point, too?
If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

As did I. I also remember the "Big E" burger and the nuclear waste served at the BI;)

Heck, if you went to TN forget beer as you could buy liquor if you were 18+...

That was the rumor in my day. We never had any proof, if you will pardon the pun.

What's a freegin meal card? We had meal tickets! lol

I had to park at Hunts!

My intramural basketball games were in the actual Varsity Gym.

You played racquetball on a handball court.

You went to see Atlanta Rhythm Section, Little River Band and Pablo Cruze instead of Limpbiscuit??

You went to the BI instead of the Cafeteria.

You used the card catalog and used the "Eric" research system for a term paper.

You went to your department's bulletin board and found your SS# for your grades.

You didn't call classes off because of snow.

You went to football games because it was the thing to do instead of going only because of winning.

You ate at Holly Farms Chicken.

You still have pictures up close of the Windmill.

You watched baseball's hit into the tennis courts.

You had drop add in Varsity Gym and stood in lines for 45 minutes only to find out the class was closed.

You wore "Get High on a Mountain" Footsloggers shirts.

You bowled upstairs.

The Mascot was a real Mountaineer Man and he shot the gun and not the ROTC.

Your last 4 numbers of your SS was stamped in the back of your textbooks in the rental lines.

You dialed up for computer access and it was green.

You used ribbon and whiteout doing a term paper.

Ahhhhh, the days. (I could go on)

Who remembers the grease burgers from late night runs to Ray's on 321, mid 70's. If I remember it was accross the street from the AutoBell car wash.
