Sponsored by a couple of female Democrat legislators, 1 recently (6-1-2013) resigned, the bill calls for 6% - 3% in 2014 & 3% in 2015 - salary increases for UNC faculty & NC School of Math & Science employees. It does NOT make a distinction if it is intended for the UNC SYSTEM. This sounds like a rider that may get tacked on to some other piece of legislation. Curiously the primary sponsors of the bill are UNCC & Duke grads, so no taking car of the Alma mater issue is at the surface. But you just never know who lined their pockets to get this going. Here is the bill for you to decide for yourself.

Including NC School of Science and Math makes me think this is for the UNC system. Seems odd it does not specify though.Kgfish wrote:Sponsored by a couple of female Democrat legislators, 1 recently (6-1-2013) resigned, the bill calls for 6% - 3% in 2014 & 3% in 2015 - salary increases for UNC faculty & NC School of Math & Science employees.
