On a positive note - the blueprint on how to beat us is now in the open. We should have an off season agenda - watch film and adjust. We will still have the talent for next year - however, we do need to adjust. Maybe a few different wrinkles and looks would be beneficial.

Brice has 4 TDs today. Single season passing yardage record surprising Armanti the GOAT.
Armanti played in 12 games compared to 14 for Chase. Armanti also ran for 18 touchdowns that year. Tell the full story when comparing stats.
Nobody said it was a better overall effort, that was the single season passing record right? It was broken, but you can have an asterisk if it makes you feel better.
No asterisk needed. Just painting a full picture.

For those who say 10 wins is a successful season you can make a case for it but we only beat one good team (Coastal at home) and lost to one we should have beaten (Miami). Winning the games we should have won but losing to LA twice and then getting blown out today doesn’t make for a successful season (in my opinion). 10 wins is great but the 4 losses really tell the story of the season. We digressed. You can’t argue it. Question is why?

Gonna have to adjust our offense to fit CB strengths...our stretch zone is predicated on the fact we normally have a qb who is a run threat..i actually feel good about us going into next season...i guarantee this game opens the eyes of our coaches. I have full faith they will learn from this...adjust...change...and be even better nezt hear. Im proud of this team

AE would have had this team at 12-1 or perhaps better.

I think AE would have owned the Sun Belt if he had the opportunity. Perhaps the numbers wouldn't be as gaudy, but the dude would be fire.

Anyway.. excited to see new faces and younger ones returning next year. Time to start writing a new chapter.
Yeah. Armani was one of those rare talents and "once in every 10 year" guys. I'd argue he will forever be underrated in regards to "All Time QBs" because he played in FCS. He was arguably one of the top 5 college QBs I've ever seen.

We regressed because teams adjusted to what we were doing on offense. They knew chase could not beat anyone with the run...but we also had enough in terms of athletes to get 10 wins...also...ponce is a 1st year coordinator and overall did a great job...clark is a good coach but he has some growth to make as well. I dont think the sky is falling. We are still in line to compete for a championship next season....to the comment on LLU...they were just flat out a better team with a great head coach and returned a ton of talent from an already great team

I'd be cool with runs on 3rd and long with Armanti back there running the read option.

This will be the first off season in a long long time that we didn't win our last game of the year. It will leave a bad taste in the mouth of all of our coaches and players let alone our fans.
Two losses in a row has to really hurt for these young men. I hate this ending especially for our seniors and super seniors.

It would look to be that we have some coaching issues on the defensive side of the ball.
Yep. Not a huge Dale fan myself
I was disappointed that we brought Mark Spier on as an analyst. We need youth on coaching and fresh ideas from different perspectives.

Dale Jones? Our defense was great all year. This is one bad game.

Yeah! I mean, all ULM and South Alabama have to do is switch to an air raid offense and get an NFL caliber QB who will break the single season passing and TD records! Uh oh! Sounds like we are in trouble!

He would not have made it through the year, go back and look at how many hits Brice has taken. AE would have taken twice that many. Look at how our backs stayed banged up this year.

Bad day to have a bad day. Shame for the seniors to go out with two straight L’s and a trophyless season, but they are bound to happen on occasion. Lots to look at in the off-season, but I’m comfortable chalking this up as a one-off.

10+ wins always means we are in the hunt, which is what you want. I’m hoping we work on cleaning up our penalties and turnovers during the spring. Discipline has gotta improve while still keeping an edge. A fine line.

Go Apps.

Someone who has coached under different systems.

There is a bunch of chatter on this board about playing AppState football and hiring AppState guys. That is is exactly how Georgia Southern got where they are today; by trying to keep doing the same old thing over and over. "AppState Football" is letting a young coach talk an old coach searching for answers to go visit Rich Rod at WV and learn an innovative new offense. Getting the "old gang back together" never works in anything especially not a game that changes with new innovations and wrinkles annually.
