Arrived in high country about 10:30. Downtown boone was already packed at lunch time. Ate dinner in Banner Elk, Best Western seems to be the hotel for the tarholes. Many big buses parked outside. Almost game day!

That's where most, if not all, visiting teams usually stay. They're the only ones in the area with a big enough conference room to allow for pre game meetings/walkthroughs.

That's why the proposed conference center/hotel at the old high school is so important. If we had a better conference room closer by, we would get more home and homes.

My daughter was waiting in the car for me at 5:00 am. I was running to the car like Bilbo does in The Hobbit trying the catch up with the dwarves. At least she is driving.
