Brian Stokes

Unread post by kiddbrewer » Wed Aug 07, 2013 8:58 am

I was reading the 2013 Media Guide and found a section under Appalachian Heroes (p. 148) with a good read about Brian Stokes. It is very fitting that Brian was listed in this section. He is truly an Appalachian Hero and an American Hero.

But the part that grabbed my attention was the very last sentence...
"A movie chronicling Stokes' journey is in the early production stages."

That would be awesome to see.

I did a google search and all I found was a link to appfan.

Always wary of appfan and its IQ lowering abilities, I went there and found this link...

That article is over 2 years old and I was just curious if any one has heard of anything new. I saw he is/was a deputy with the Guilford County Sheriff's office.

So any of you with law enforcement connections have any news?

I can't say for sure but in 2012 Marino lost $13.6 million in a digital media company. It may not be related but it may be keeping Dan away from media projects.

Bruce - Yes, Brian works with the Guilford County Sheriff's Dept. He is also a member of our Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. I talk to him every once in a while. I believe he was in a car accident a few months ago, but is doing fine. He is a HERO for sure....really nice guy too.
AppState89 AKA Robert Martin :D :D
