We are 6-8 Last 14 Games
We are 6-8 Last 14 Games
If you look at our last 14 games we are 6-8 with 2 wins over FCS teams. We have some serious issues to address. Most glaring is our Defense. Coach Clark is going to have to make some tough decisions over the off season. GO APP!

Was 4th down fail to Noel in regulation a QB option and he hands it off after nothing up the middle all game and on previous play? 88 wide open in flat like we've run a hundred times.

Decisions that most saw from last year… to be a top football program, you have to have the ability to find the issue before it becomes an issue. Like Clarke the person, not enjoying the coaching decisions as much

Next year's OOC is Gardner-Webb, at UNC, ECU and at Wyoming.
Imagine a 1-3 start before conference play even starts. It's a real possibility.

Don't ignore Gardner-Webb either. They played three FBS teams this year and lost to two by a combined 5 points (Coastal and Liberty)

Re: We are 6-8 Last 14 Games
Gardner Webb has benefited a lot from 5th and 6th year seniors this year. They will have a lot of turnover at key positions next season as well. Hopefully our talent can win alone. 1-3 or 2-2 is the most likely OOC record. If we go 0-4……..

Agree 1000%. It’s the freaking doomsday prepper mentality that is killing me. 6-6 happened for a lot of reasons. The problems that caused the dip have been identified and are being addressed. Some solutions are an immediate remedy. Some will take time to correct. But between, Clark, Gillin, and Everts, they will get it done.

Fanbases that aren't used to losing will overreact. Ryan Day is 42-5 at Ohio State and their fanbase is calling for him to be fired because he's lost twice in a row to Michigan. I'd much rather for our fans to overreact than to stop caring. Apathy is way more dangerous than overzealousness.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 7:58 amAgree 1000%. I understand you last point and agree. The thing is, especially here, overreaction is the first reaction and reaction is seen as apathy by the over-reactors.appst89 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:10 amFanbases that aren't used to losing will overreact. And I want to believe, more than anything I want to believe it will be fixed, but I need a reason to believe. I've seen three straight seasons of regression. What has happened in that time to convince me that it's going to be fixed? I'm not trying to be difficult, and maybe I've missed something, so tell me what it is you see that makes you so certain it is going to be fixed.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 7:58 amAgree 1000%. We can come back to this after the first of the year.appst89 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:31 amAnd I want to believe, more than anything I want to believe it will be fixed, but I need a reason to believe. "I've seen three straight seasons of regression. "
Would you like to explain how finishing 10-2 last season with a division championship is regression???
