Re: Griz Gameday Thread
Seeing as how I'm not early enough to be the first, let me be the second person to say GAME DAY! It's time to prepare for the opening of another season of Mountaineer football and a fresh can of WA.
As a tribute to this great day, it is fitting that we all enjoy North Carolina's native son and learn what football is:
GIVE 'EM HELL, APPS!
APP!

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I guess one can go to the Missoula paper to find a write up about the game. There certainly isn't a dayum thing in any North Carolina paper about it. One would think Cabarrus Comm College was in the national championship game. Geez.

You might want to peruse the web site of the Watauga Dem, the Asheville CT or the WS Journal. That rag in Charlotte isn't the only paper in this great state.kgblade wrote:I guess one can go to the Missoula paper to find a write up about the game. Re: Griz Gameday Thread
It is a shame we have the Charlotte market as our main area. We get more coverage from the Triad, Asheville, and even the Tri-Cities than we do from the paper and TV stations in Charlotte. And the coverage, which has been getting less and less over the past few years, is now dropping to new lows. What's the point of being in the bigger market if you get little to no coverage. I would rather be in the smaller market that wants to cover us. Just not a whole lot we can do about it except put the best product we can on the field and accept the fact that the interest of the media in Charlotte stops well short of the mountains.

Hey Rankinapp, Thanks for the post of the BOD's pre game show. But what made my day was the sweet sound of a southern drawl spoken, "Do I have cheese on my face."

I'm watching and Montana is already wearing us out with long, clock eating drives.
No score, but they are controlling field possession.
