Pulling for TCU, but think UGA takes it pretty easily.

Thinking UGA's defense can get some stops. Hopefully, this will be a good game to watch. Hope TCU wins or makes it close.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
Georgia's D looked porous against OSU but I don't think we see that again. The OSU game was an anomaly (I hope). I think TCU will make it a good game.Longrifle28 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 10:35 amThinking UGA's defense can get some stops. Hopefully, this will be a good game to watch. I think Georgia will be very focused and not be caught by surprise. Georgia lays the wood to TCU.

Pulling for Frogs, however, Dawgs will win by more than 2 scores.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
Pulling for TCU. The Saban tree is tiring. As Saban is aging out, one of his proteges, who followed him for decades, is rising up to claim the throne. Smart is only 47.
Chips:
Saban... 2003, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020.
Smart.... 2021-GA
Jimbo... 2013-FSU
Muschamp... 2003 with saban, 2021 with Smart.
The rest of the tree hasn't won a chip but have some conference chips and whatnot. I'm just tired of the Saban tree. Which in a way is a branch of the Belichick tree. So yea, just tired of that one string of coaches in both college and the NFL for that matter.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
Would be cool for TCU to win, but I think the Dawgs win 45-24.
How about the real loser here…The fans in attendance. NO TAILGATING allowed at Sofi Stadium. Yay California!

I respect Kirby Smart for coaching one last time at UGA before he announces he's coming to BooneNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 5:09 pmI’m just ready for the game to be done so we can announce our next DC.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
"Nagy concedes Bennett doesn't "look like" an NFL quarterback. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, there have been only three quarterbacks drafted since 2006 that measured shorter than 6 feet and less than 200 pounds: Michigan's Denard Robinson, Appalachian State's Armanti Edwards and Navy's Malcolm Perry. All of them moved to receiver in the pros.
"But you put on the tape and you look at his actual football résumé, shoot, he deserves to get a chance," Nagy said of Bennett, "and he will get a chance."
https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... ampionship
Russell Wilson was 5-11 204 on draft measurements.
AE was 5-11 187. Granted I've been next to him and 5-11 might be a wee generous.
Denard 5-10 199.
Malcolm 5-9. 186.
Drew Brees 6-0 213.
Michael Vick 6-0 210
Doug Flutie was 5-10 ?? Lbs on draft.
One of these days they've gotta give some of the sub 6ft dudes a legit try. If your draft weight is in the 180s like these guys you could put on 12-14 more lbs to break 200 without losing too much mobility. Stetson is getting thrown in this category. Some don't think he will get drafted at all. You can't tell me some of these guys can't at least be back up QBs.
