I have trouble saying that any game (mid week) means nothing, but they certainly mean less. I have to think we got caught looking past Queens this past week. Let's pick up this series at UL! Go Apps!

This isn't basketball where we virtually have no chance of an at-large bid to the tournament. The Sun Belt will likely get 2-3 at-large bids. So, the loss to Queens certainly does matter. But you have to remember we went 3-1 against them which isn't nearly as bad as losing a lone game.

I'll admit saying those games mean nothing was probably a bit of an exaggeration. Who decides the at large teams? Is it a committee like basketball? I noticed that our RPI dropped a good bit last week. A sweep of La (or even a series win) would have to move us up considerably.

I know RPI is the key metric and top 40 is usually the threshold. Winning the regular season conference helps too. I think we were 38 RPI and won the regular season in 2012 when we got the at-large. We obviously need to finish strong to get our RPI that low.
