What kind of injury did Castle sustain, a upper or lower body injury?

He was in a walking boot and had one of those scooter contraptions. So either an ankle or foot maybe?

Based on the 8-10 week timeline, sounds like possibly even a minor surgery to make sure it's good to go.

They're being hush hush about it for a reason. I don't know what that reason is though...

probably HIPAA
If App has a HR department - HIPAA is probably the reason.

Man they release an injury list every week that says if they have a bruise on their pinky toe, I don't think HIPAA is stopping this one.

HIPAA is a law with some serious teeth for violators. Im a Pastor and HIPAA affects my work. Any slip up due to negligence brings a $20k fine and potential prison time.

I seriously doubt HIPAA is in play here. Teams and organizations use HIPAA as a scare tactic, even though the law applies specifically to those who have direct access to patient files. Plus, I believe schools are exempt from HIPAA.

Schools nor churches are exempt from HIPAA. I used to be a HIPAA trainer for DSS.

I thought that even if a school keeps medical records and offers healthcare services, those records would be intermixed with educational records and thus covered by FERPA?

Plus, I doubt federal privacy issues are why the Castle injury info isn't out there.

Is Scooby Ford still on the roster? Don’t see him on the website. Or am I missing something?

Teams release injury reports all the time. HIPAA doesn't prevent that. It's probably either a) that it's still preseason camp and they don't feel the need to publish a story on an injury to a backup running back, or b) football coaches are notoriously stingy with injury info.

You all may remember years ago there was a severe outbreak of rhabdomyolysis at U of Iowa one summer. The players were on one floor, and some nurse Hawkeye fans on a different floor accessed the charts for the players. They were caught and immediately fired. As 77 stated, HIPAA has serious teeth and consequences for violators.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

with about 2 weeks to go I’m sure all the dudes who get inside info know who’s the surprises of camp.

Don’t be shy, spill the beans!
I think Scroggs and/or Gentry find their way into starting. Based on practice reports, the offense has been running the ball very well with them in the line-up while others were out.

The average RB in the NFL is 5’11” and 203. If he measures what is listed, (not always the case) and he puts on 10 lbs, (which reports suggest that he has) then he is in line with the average.
We all know Nate is probably 5'8.

Rhabdomyolysis isn't contagious, it's really a symptom of other medical conditions. So how was there an "outbreak" other than perhaps over exertion? Players with sickle cell? What? Way off topic and off the point but that confuses me.

No he is not. I stood next to him at FanFest and talked for awhile. I’m 6’2” and he was all of 5’10”.

Gentry could take over at tackle but Scroggs is an inside guy. He isn’t beating out any of the inside guys,
