Joey posting all of his stats all over instagram after a loss is a horrible look
Got to let coaches know for if/when he hits the portal.
Don’t think he can transfer again

It’s not. He reposted one post of his halftime stats and that’s it. Like most other players do. Outside of the fumble on the read in the 4th Joey was very good tonight (he was last week too). Playcalling was awful and defense was even worse. I have no issues with Joey sharing his highlights though

Wasn't aware of that, just assumed given the crazy portal these days it was free to do whatever.

Here's another fun Clark stat- he's broken some streaks of teams that historically can't beat App State
Georgia State will be the next one.

Just putting a little positivity out there in this really sucky situation.
Yes he is! The Front 4 on D is the ONLY thing that has improved on the entire team and they are still young. Hopper is a stud too.
Yep, I think Vic Cabral is the real deal as a DLine coach, I hate we probably lose him and some of these young studs if the coaching change happens.

Could be worse…Charlotte beating ECU is pretty bad.
I don’t think UNC-C is climbing the rungs of CFB anytime soon but do think app is precariously close to a trajectory that makes that outcome for app a possible reality.

there are some solid comparisons to the 2000s era of ECU football to the 2010s of app state. I don’t think anyone on this board will contest that ECU has/ was all in on football and has a fun game day. They jumped from cusa to the American when it was on the rise with old big east teams and the best of CUSA. They had great fan support and a growing booster base that was built on wins and a fun to watch program. They won big regional matchups and built what was thought to be a football G5 empire in Greenville. When you scream that the triangle won’t play you and then turn around and beat the snot out of them, no one doubts you. Their overall athletic program was also solid because they had some fun basketball seasons and their baseball team is still close to top tier.

Then they hired Ruffin. An ecu grad with success elsewhere. Now many at the time thought he was burned when he was fired but insiders have said that Greenville was not full of sunshine and rainbows during his tenure. I think that had he actually been burned by ECU, another head coaching position would have been offered to him and the fact that he hasn’t taken one is telling imo. They have never recovered and today is another reminder that the ghost of hiring an ECU guy still haunts them.

Not sure what to say guys. I'm extremely upset, but I don't want to say something I'll regret. I appreciate y'all, guess I'll just play some shooter games and take out the aggression. This is very poor performance for how much talent we have.
I'm not sure we have the talent we think we do.
Exactly…name one player on this team besides Noel and possibly Parker that has all-conference talent.
We have a VERY good wide receiver core. They just don’t really get featured bcuz our defense can’t ever get the other team off the field.

Agreed, some games we need to pass more to open up the running game early. We did that some in earlier games. This game felt more predictable in play calling. These receivers are solid. Joey is great at short and intermediate throws but still waiting on those accurate long shots.

They have good moments, but man there were some giant holes in our D line on some of the big ODU runs.

They’re good until they’re not. They’ve still failed us in big moments this year. Kaiden with the drop on 4th down last week, makai drop today on 3rd. Stroman is probably 1 for 12 on 50/50 balls we’ve given him this year. Stopped running a route that would have extended our drive tonight. We also just refuse to throw unless it’s a passing down which doesn’t help. It’s a shame bc we do have talent there but that room has really messed up in crunch time

No fluidity to our offensive play calling. Rarely running or passing to setup a run or pass. It's like watching a 3rd grader play Madden
The Appalachian State

We had 5:00 more minutes in TOP. I counted 16 plays by ODU over 10 yards versus 14 for us. We simply can't put a team away. Horrible play calling in the clutch. That is our deal.

They do need to improve on the run plays but where is the LBs? LB play was pitiful. Safety play terrible and Corners playing way back.

Hard to watch. The only time I felt we controlled them is we brought the blitz toward the end of the game

Defense gave the ball back to the offense, TWICE, with a lead and the offense couldn't put the game away. It's not on Joey, but without Nate Noel, we have no go to playmaker to put a game away. OL is full of FCS talent & the D is just too young to win games without Offensive help.

Yep and when you play a team with a QB fast or quick enough to get outside and you don't have a fast LB stay home to help with the outside scramble you get torched on 3 or 4 and long.
KICK ASS!!!
