Are we really going to glorify an unhinged rant from a guy that’s paid handsomely to deal with this?

Dabo is an ass. Simple as that

When you take those high-paying jobs, expect high pressure. Looks like it got the best of him on this day. He should try having a high-stress job and making less than 60,000 a year. I have a hard time feeling sorry for him.

Exactly. But some people will defend a thin skinned multimillionaire who is paid to win games and do so under pressure.

Dabo is obviously feeling the heat. He reminds me a lot of those people who feel like they have a right to tell everyone else how to spend their money, or to declare who is a fan and who isn't. I don't feel one bit sorry for him.

Lots of frustration from both parties there.

Dabo's not wrong in most of the message he wanted to deliver, but he didn't handle that well. He'll get that message from the folks he has to answer to as well.

I don't think Dabo is feeling any heat because he is completely secure in his job. Many times the Coaches use these opportunities to send messages to their players (Saban has admitted this multiple times) or defend their players. Dabo is most likely trying to relieve the pressure on his players and limit further unkind things that are being said about his team (players). Dabo is in zero threat of losing his job and even if he did he would walk with tens of millions still owed to him, I seriously doubt that equates to pressure for him. He is a vey good coach that has always been genuine and always put his players first. I really think the frustrations we are hearing is based on his frustrations for what his players are having to deal with, namely many unkind and unrelenting fans.

It's always funny to read these guys say- "well just fire me!" when they are guaranteed like $90m more dollars. You generally don't hear the same crap from a lower paid guy with no guarantee.

Clemson went 11-3 and won the ACC last season. I loathe Dabo but he’s got a massive runway at Clemson given the immense success he’s seen there for the past decade. So he’s not wrong.

We are coming off a season where we won 4 FBS games and are entering week 10 of this season with 3.

We have very different situations.

I didn't think it was that bad, he spoke his mind and is mostly right IMO. Good for him not pandering to some "what have you done for me lately" fan.

I'm fine with folks asking people in "powerful" positions the tough questions and providing accountability.

There is a professional way to do so and quite frankly that is lacking in many facets of society today, both the professionalism and accountability.

I think this is hilarious and many true points. Reminds me of a similar rant a few years back by Oklahoma State Head coach. "Come after me, I'm a man, I'm 40" albeit a little different scenario but the result is a "breaking point" - I will now be calling people Tyler for a long time. There is a professional way to ask questions and make comments, there is a professional way to respond, but...sometimes those don't match, collisions are made and well these awesome gems are created.
