What was the deal pregame? App circling for prayer when they arrived at the stadium and Georgia State comes out and there was a confrontation? Saws a little on appsports story.

Sounded like a desperate attempt at intimidation by Elliot and Coach Mike. Much like Elliot’s post game rant last week, an attempt to fire up and save a slowly sinking ship. Both seemed to have backfired.

Pretty much. Sirignano led GSU out to "protect" their midfield logo when App State did their prayer circle around it, which
App does every game home and away. Pushes, shoves, taunts, etc. then Elliott and Sirignano and other GUs coaches pushed their players back to act like they were peacemakers.
Also, this happened more than an hour before gametime, so the refs weren't there (refs are mandated to be on the field 60 minutes before kickoff), so no penalties.
