Citadel Reminder

Unread post by Saint3333 » Wed Oct 02, 2013 9:11 am

This is not a prediction thread, just a reminder of what happened in Boone vs. Citadel last year.

Citadel won by 24, and our defense gave up 618 yards of offense. Citadel has the same team as last year as they were young in 2012.

We have four defensive starters that started vs. Citadel last year.

When you have post game thoughts next Sunday and Monday remember those stats.

Thank you for this. I wish/hope it would work but should we lose the same tired posts will appear or just be added to. I've given up on MI even though I know you're trying to fight the good fight over there but rational though has truly gone out the window. I just love the numerous times calling for Scott and Nate to be fired, no matter when. I wonder if the university was to fire someone after a half season to one season how many quality coaches would line up for this job. No FBS coach in his right mind, head or assistant, would come to a university that fired a coach after one year or less. Tell them over on MI good luck with the list of "quality" D-II, D-III, and HS coaches willing to take the risk of a half season job.

I remember all too well Apps last trip to Citdogs when with a combination of blocked punts, bad snaps and missed tackles App almost coughed up a huge lead.

Let's hope App gets things going in the right direction on Saturday. Chucktown has always been pretty good to us. It's the one SoCon road trip I'll miss.

This is just my opinion, but the Apps taking an a$$-whipping of that magnitude is never acceptable. It wasn't last year and it won't be if it happens again this year.

You beat me to it. I will add that I would rather read the irrational bitching than basically a "don't be surprised when we lose thread". The bitching can be funny but surrender is just lame.

I don't believe the word "surrender" was ever used. I believe Saint was taking the "open eyes" option for this game. Do I think it will be as bad as last year? No. Do I think it will be a difficult win with what we are facing? It could be but I'm hopeful that we try some different looks with our first real TO team.

I've said this in other threads but I went to App games in black and gold diapers and my urn is to be black and gold. Cradle to Grave Mountaineer. My support for every team and this school will never go away no matter how bad things get. Irrational bitching can be funny when a few are doing it but when most of the board is busy slashing their wrists while doing the bitching then it's just old and boring plus it just gets the keyboard all bloody.

I would be real careful with that. I hear that Obama care does not cover wrist slashing as of Oct 1.
