Cobb should have been fired years ago for not realizing the fact that Moore had screwed things up with his weak arse kid as a coach and the terrible drop off in recruits and coaching replacements hired. To say Moore is the answer is as ignorant as to saying these schools are "tougher' and "better" than usual. That's head in the sand, rose-colored glasses crap that needs to be kept on the soccer fields of middle schools.
This is App State football, dam-it. Get your heads out of your arses wake up. We have a MAJOR problem here and it is time admit it and demand change.

I don't remember a season as totally unique as this one - major coaching changes, transition and in reality, "nothing" to play for - everyone wants to win every game but in the big picture the final record this season means nothing (our conference games don't even count) - so in my mind, the only thing that is important is that THIS STAFF "HAS" THIS TEAM AFTER THE FINAL PLAY OF THE FINAL GAME OF 2013 !!! - Everything else is just fodder for those who want to bitch and complain ---
didn't see today's game, just listened but it certainly didn't sound like the team quit on the coaches nor themselves ---

No one has their head in the sand. We can all see the problems on the field. However, what is required is a little bit of patience not knee jerk reactions like the immediate firing of someone.

It's not the season we expected. It's not the execution we thought this team was capable of performing. The results certainly aren't what we thought to this point. However, the blame game isn't going to solve any that. Time for those kind of evaluations comes later. Remember this team, while shooting itself in the foot week after week, has dropped three games by 3 points each. Again, close only counts in horseshoes but the team needs our support now more than ever.

I look forward to homecoming and another trip to Boone. We face perhaps our most potent foe to this point. It will take a much improved team to pull out the win but I am anxious to see how we meet the challenge.

As I previously stated, this team does not know how to win.

Things are ugly now, but it's not the end of the world (yet). I never dreamed this season would be this bad, but I also found it hard to believe some of the pre-season talk that we would be taking a crack at an undefeated season when we played Georgia. New coaches, good many different players, injuries, players leaving the team, uncertain QB situation, competition that is better than I think we give credit for, etc. This team needs a lot. It will take time. I'm not willing to wait forever (3+ years), but I'm not going to give up just yet.

JM led Appalachian to 3 national championships and 7 out of the last 8 conference championships. Not many coaches have given more to their players, school, and community than JM did. He wanted to coach another year and we didn't let him. Karma is a b***h.

To quote Corey Lynch, I am ashamed.

Not "we didn't let him", it is more that Cobb did not let him. Most fans would have loved to have Moore back for one last year. Some very loud and obnoxious fans will tell you different.

Moore had to be gone after last year. Would you rather Sattefield's first year be in the Sun Belt? We needed a year to break-in a new coaching staff in a throw-away season.

^ and then another year, and another, then one more after that! I don't get it, guys. Why didn't we just let Jerry coach forever?

Love ya coach, but it was time a few years ago. Find a hobby and enjoy your well-earned retirement!
