ASU chancellor search committee meets Tuesday

Appalachian State University's Chancellor Search Committee will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 10:30 a.m. in Plemmons Student Union Rough Ridge Room No. 415.


The committee will discuss the search process, a leadership statement and hold a discussion with consultant Baker & Associates on the university, the chancellor's position, the background of the candidates and the marketing of the position.


The committee is working to help find a replacement for current Chancellor Ken Peacock, who announced in April he would be stepping down once a successor is named.


Last month, the committee held six public forums to gather input on the qualities desired in ASU's next leader.
