PS5 won this generation.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 2:27 pmAccording to the Wikipedia page for the game, PS5, Xbox X/S are the two platforms. I would get a Switch if they would put the game on that platform. The Wii version had graphics that were not so great but they worked good enough for me.
I grew up on the Atari VCS, so I can live with a bit less than PS5 if the gameplay is there.
Thanks for the advice.

I just bought an Xbox Series S, and I'm very pleased with it. It is digital only, so no physical game disks and do disk drive; everything is stored on the machine or in the cloud. I also invested in an external hard drive a while back, which gives me extra memory. They say the graphics and processing power aren't a strong on the Series S compared to the Series X and PS5, but I don't notice much difference.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 8:51 amIf one does not own a current gen game system and the last system predates any backwards compatibility (Wii, PS2) which system should one purchase?
Is there any talk of NCAA Basketball or NCAA Baseball, which were the other NCAA sports I am aware of over the years.
I haven't heard anything about NCAA basketball or baseball. The only reason, I think, that EA Sports wouldn't make those games is because they don't currently make any basketball or baseball games. Back in the early 2000s, they made NBA Live and MVP Baseball that they basically just re-skinned with college uniforms. They'd probably have to pretty much start from scratch if they wanted to do those now. I think at least an NCAA Basketball game would sell well though, if it was made well.

I would think a digital copy means you don't really own the game because it won't work if the online server is down, internet is not working, etc. I would want to have a physical copy as well so if the system is messed up i could still login and play the game. Do you like the fact you can't have a physical copy?MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 9:05 amI just bought an Xbox Series S, and I'm very pleased with it. As for baseball and basketball someone I trust in terms of their sources has said publicly that EA won't do a baseball or basketball game for college due to money reasons. The cost of them would be very high with NIL and they don't sell enough copies to make it worth it. NCAA Football 14 sold 1.5 million copies while the last basketball game sold just less than 151,000 copies. They expect baseball would sell a little bit less than that.

I would prefer to own a physical copy of the game. However, there are perks to having just digital. Load times tend to be faster, you can play the game on multiple devices as long as you login to your account, and games transfer over from older consoles. I still can play games I digitally purchased on my Xbox One. Also, the Series S is significantly cheaper than the Series X. Since I was basically just buying a new console for the NCAA game, I didn't want to drop a ton of money.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 6:20 pmI would think a digital copy means you don't really own the game because it won't work if the online server is down, internet is not working, etc. I would want to have a physical copy as well so if the system is messed up i could still login and play the game. What annoys me is that if you buy a physical copy, it doesn't come with a digital download code to have both. So games that I bought physical copies of for my Xbox One aren't playable on my Series S. I'll have to buy them again digitally. I get it, it's capitalism and I made choices as a consumer, but it's kind of annoying. A lot of blue-ray movies come with a digital download code as well. It would be nice if video games did too.

Re: New EA Sports NCAAF Release Trailer Features App St
Agree. There should be an option to buy both a physical and digital copy and they could easily charge an extra 30-40 bucks for it. If I have to choose I am going physical copy because no matter what is happening online I have the game and can play offline but I would love to have that option of getting both for sure.MrCraig wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 2:44 pmI would prefer to own a physical copy of the game. It says beta on the video so I am guessing it will look a little different. Correct?

App has never worn the Black Block A logo, black helmet and white, gold, white, helmet stripe in a game before as shown in the beta version of the video game.

I will be interested to see what the final version looks like. I wonder why even the beta version would have stuff wrong like that? Could it just be one of the many variations of our uniforms they put in the game and this just happened to be one the player used during beta testing?

Anyone won a national championship with App State yet? Our guys look great in the new NCAA game. It’s got to be so fun for them to be playing as themselves!

I did the Road to Glory with a 6'4", 215 lbs Possession WR and made it to the CFB Playoff Semifinal last night. I'm going to start Dynasty Mode tonight and can't wait to see how in-depth they made the recruitng/transfer portal dynamics.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 9:27 amNot yet but ranked in the top 10 with a SBC Championship to win tonight against Tx State![]()

Re: New EA Sports NCAAF Release Trailer Features App St
Someone posted a 4 hour plus video of App State in dynasty mode. I have watched a few minutes and each end zone raises a net for field goals. Did they even visit our campus for a mistake of this magnitude? With stuff like this can I trust anything about this game?
Real second rate stuff here. I am sure that have this correct for LSU.

Re: New EA Sports NCAAF Release Trailer Features App St
I would be disappointed in that but it has been a decade for the game in general and we have never been in the game. If our uniforms and stadium are somewhat accurate, game play is good, it has our fight song, and dynasty and recruiting are good then I won't complain. From what I hear that is the case. I do look forward to playing it.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:21 pmSomeone posted a 4 hour plus video of App State in dynasty mode.
