I pulled out all the tailgate gear this past weekend and started getting things cleaned up and ready. Best time of the year.

So ready for the season to get underway! You can tell that it is officially here now. My wife and I went to Publix around 7am this morning to get a few items and found ourselves trash talking the bag boy because he was a Clemson fan. :D

We are now in the summer program of so much anticipation! Great interviews, lots of confidence from the program going into the season.

After watching practice today, I feel OK about the OL. It’s still a work in progress but they will get better as the season goes along.

Heard similar from someone else there. My early opening week hope is we get a lot of kinks out against ETSU in a win and Georgia wears Clemson down good.

I hope Clemson beats Georgia and people realize that the ACC may be a tougher conference than the nation believes the ACC is. Then I would like for App to roll into Death Valley and win with a walk off field goal.

My takeaways for practice:

1) Andrew Dewerk is a massive human being
2) Billy Wiles is the real deal
3) the OL will be fine once they figure out the rotation. The talent is there. The size is there. They need to gel into one. I expect them to get better as the season goes along, but Clemson is going to be a problem.
4) the freshmen looked like freshmen for the most part.
5) William Fowles is going to be good. He has that “it” factor about him.
6) Andrew Dewerk is a massive human being.
7) Joey and Kaedin are in sync already
8) the DL is big and fast
9) did I mention that Andrew Dewerk is a massive human being?

I’m not sure. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve stood next to Hulk Hogan and thought to myself, “he isn’t that big”. I walked past Jack Hollifield last month on King St and thought the same thing. “Mind you he is 6’4” 300 lbs. I couldn’t say that about this guy.
