Official Edward Teach prediction thread
How about, we not do that again? That was certainly a game that will be hard to forget, even if it was unmemorable. Shall we move on? We’ll try. Whatever the result of last week, the focus would have been on this weekend. A rivalry that has been renewed, playing its third game in four seasons. Remember when this contract was signed, it was such a big deal that East Carolina needed to play in Boone or Charlotte first to hold up their end of the bargain? In a way to hold the Pirates to their word. That seems crazy to think of at this point. Now that the series has shifted to Greenville, not many in and around Pitt County would have imagined that Appalachian would have won the first two contests. Games played in the land of whole hog and vinegar are a lot different than those played in the twilight of a Charlotte skyline or a sunny September day along the Blue Ridge. The Mountaineers have not beaten the Pirates where the soil is sandy since 1959. Can they overcome the flatlands and the humidity for generational win?

Re: Official Edward Teach prediction thread
I was a bit too overconfident last week calling for a 10 point victory and App domination based on our trend against P4 teams. My bad.
How about I balance it out and go with the trend of us losing at ECU with no confidence at all.
East Carolina Teachers College - 45
Appalachian Training School for Teachers - 35
I hope this reverse psychology works and we win by 46....

I was thinking the same thing. I had a score in mind to pick early but going to wait and make sure the weather should be clear for the game.

We recover from the curb stomping
34 - 28 App
I think our offense is good but our defense not so sure about. Damn I think Klubnik just tossed another TD
Hope we don’t put Garcia on the Heisman list too

Re: Official Edward Teach prediction thread
I feel the same way. ECU is better than they were last year it appears but if we are as good as people in Boone think we can be and Clemson is just a top 5-10 team then I do expect us to win. The interesting thing I have thought about is that ECU is only giving up 8.5 per game and are scoring 2 points more per game than we are. I fully expect us to win or else we are in trouble this year. I think ECU should go 7-5 or 8-4 this year and would be the 3rd or 4th best remaining team on our schedule.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 9:18 pmWe recover from the curb stomping

Re: Official Edward Teach prediction thread
Going to hope that Clemson is good and GA is really really good.
And hope that ECUs opponents were not the same as us and that their turnover woes continue.
And does the rain/wind play a factor. I’d say it keeps score lower. We’ll see.
App - 24
ECU - 10

App 24
ECU 21
I am very worried about this game. Their OC spent 3 years under Kiffin, so you know he knows offense. Add to that the fact that he got to watch a clinic on film about how to score on us and it has me worried. ECU does not have the athletes that Clemson does but our DBs have not looked good all season and we have been prone to give up long TDs the past 2 years. If we can't cause turnovers on defense, we may not be happy with the results. I always pick App to win but my confidence in this week is not high at all.
