Unis
just to start another topic - what are thoughts on this season's uniforms?
Personally, the home blacks don't do much for me - they kinda look drab and if me, I would add some yellow (gold) for some highlight --- I do like the all-whites, they could add a little yellow as well but really isn't needed - not sure about the matte helmets, haven't decided on those yet however I do think they tend to add some "drab" to the all-blacks ---
Disclaimer *** I am much more of a traditionalist when it comes to Unis --- not into the chrome helmets and all the wild looking uniforms ---

I too think the black could use a little gold trim. I really like the all whites (and I usually hate white unis) and the gray were not very attractive.

Re: Unis
I liked them at the beginning of the season but I'm starting to change my mind since they are associated with what is becomming the worst season I have ever witnessed.
Go back to last year's uniforms! That will work, right?

Re: Unis
Really like the white unis with the black sleeves and the home blacks. Liked the alternate greys but not the "Always Attack" slogan on the back. Didn't like that even before we struggled so mightily. The matte helmets with the more subdued block A are really cool in my book. Of course they would all look better if we were playing better while wearing them!

Re: Unis
I didn't care for the grey uniforms or the "Always AttacK" on the back of the jerseys. I hope they do not wear those again. I prefer the black uniforms always (Would love to see them in the dang endzone more too of course!). Some gold outlines on there woould add to it too. That is a great idea. I love the new back helmets with the gold throwback YOSEF on them. I guess they will have some version of the black uniforms since it is Black Saturday. Go APPSS!!

Re: Unis
Yep. I was in the bookstore yesterday afternoon and everything was either yellow or black with a lot of yellow trim. The one thing I liked was a "jacket" that was all beige with some black trim that looked better than all the rest simply because it looked more gold than the yellow crap.asu66 wrote:WVAPPeer wrote:just to start another topic - what are thoughts on this season's uniforms?

With the way we're playing all white seem appropriate...SpeedkingATL wrote:I too think the black could use a little gold trim. I really like the all whites (and I usually hate white unis) and the gray were not very attractive.

Re: Unis
I wish we would bring back the gold pants from the Sparky days. Then save the solid black for Black Saturday.WVAPPeer wrote:just to start another topic - what are thoughts on this season's uniforms?

Re: Unis
'Bout given up hope of seeing any gold. Figure it would have reappeared by now. Just wish they would quit worrying about how they look and start worrying about how they "look". If you know what I mean.asu66 wrote:WVAPPeer wrote:just to start another topic - what are thoughts on this season's uniforms?

Football uniforms are work clothes, built for function and not meant for the fashion runway. Work well done in itself is a thing a beauty. Let's get to work, dang it.

Blaming the uniforms is ridiculous. We all know it's because I chose poorly when I bought my new "lucky hat."

Never Give Up! Montana's original color combination was maroon and silver but switched to copper and gold in 1968. They brought back the original color scheme in 1997.JCline0429 wrote:Yep. For the record, I bought a new Nike Old School Yosef cap and wore it for the game yesterday. I guess that will be the officialy "lucky cap" for a while.Yosef84 wrote:Blaming the uniforms is ridiculous. We all know it's because I chose poorly when I bought my new "lucky hat."
