I've alluded to my personal list of commits for a while but It's time to put the basics out there. I've had this list since before the start of the season. 11 (now 10) of the players on the list committed before the season started and only 3 after. I've only seen one long post on the season. "I'm looking forward to getting up there. With the kind of season they are having looks like nearly every position will be open. Hope to play right away". All other comments have been short posts like "They're in a slump this season but we're a winning program and we will be back". Things like that.
My personal list is:
Firm: 7 players (although one could be either here or RTB. Hard to tell since he doesn't say much)
Room Temp Butter (waiting for a better offer could also be used): 5 (now 4)
Liquid: 3 (two I'm sure you could guess, maybe 3)
Again this is my personal list based on my own feelings and things I've read. It's a very long time until Feb and I expect this to change several times. The only reason I'm putting this out there is that we are going to have changes and I know that some are just waiting to blame every de-commit on the season and staff. Just wanted to show that it might not be the case with these recruits. And anyone who commits after today already knows about our season to date.

BTW, it sounds like having a losing season could be a selling point to some freshmen. Maybe there is an "upside".

Re: Commits
I've changed it in just the past few minutes based on a couple of posts I just read. I moved the surprise Liquid back up to RTB. See a couple more like I just read and it might go all the way to Firm. Fluid situation to say the least.
And BTW. The reason I'm not naming names is that recruits and families read this board. I would say in private but not on the open board. Definitely don't want to cause any problems. Sorry.

Re: Commits
You're welcome. And I do believe that, used correctly, the staff might find some positives to use from this year. Taking anything positive out of this year would be a blessing. Even if it swings one recruit by them feeling they can play right away it will be something good.Maddog1956 wrote:Thanks for all the work you do!

Re: Commits
Thanks, Moose. I keep reminding myself that recruiting coaches don't sell tangible goods. Recruiting coaches sell dreams. What better dream than the chance to make a real difference in a program?
