I figured when there was buzz Gillin wanted to extend Clark and the BOT refused to approve it and you add in our start that it would be the case. These next 4 games are huge for Clark.

Good point...Let SC & company make their own bed. If they win great! But if it's status quo or worse then it's easier to move on.

It is official, Appalachian Football is a big time program now, we have fans that act like fans of the big time programs.

This. Listen I love Clark as a person and a fellow mountaineer. This is just not what App State football should be. This is not who we are. I feel we are unprepared for every game. Not very long ago we would come out and punch opponents in the face and sleep in the 3rd qtr. which wasn’t good either. This is not App State.

I think everyone should pause to see what happens following Liberty. Beating ECU, who has a good offense and a great defense is no small thing. That is the only reason I’m not jumping on the Fire Clark bandwagon yet.

The scheduling for the USA game was garbage and, regardless of the result, should have never happened. USA getting Northwestern State, a terrible FCS program, on a Thursday specifically to give them a week to prepare for App, while App had an away game that saw them get home on Sunday morning, is a joke.

We aren't letting Clark go before December 1st so I think we all have to see how it goes. I do think Liberty is must win or the hill for Clark to climb will be too tough.

I hear you. HC is a tough gig. I'm sure it's hard to watch someone you care about dealing with all the negativity. Hopefully we'd all stand by and support our friends and family.

Thing is, it's a bottom-line business. Every coach who ever got fired had friends and family too. Gotta win, then win some more.

Exactly. The game experience is fun because the team wins most of the time. Yes, it’s a social as well as sporting event, but more people show up, stay for the whole game, and in turn spend more money when the game is good.
App doesn’t want to become the G5 equivalent of Ole Miss who for years claimed to have “never lost a party” because the tailgating was more fun than watching the game.

Would be interesting to see when the last time Coastal JMU and the others above us have gotten beat by 40 at home. Or away for that matter.
