If they wait until after the season then every single recruit will be released from their commitment and allowed to go somewhere else. Though based on his lack of recruiting success maybe that won’t be a bad thing. Regardless this will take the program several years to recover from at least. We aren’t used to rebuilding here
Assuming Clark is fired this season, how many future underperforming seasons would be due to Clark? I am asking what would be the grace period for the next coach.

In this age of college football and transfer portal, it can be turned around in a single (off)season.

You get one year to suck, one year to be better, then you need to start winning 8-9 games every season.

Based on how we have looked this year we will have to do a complete 180 for Clark not to be fired. I don't think the grace period is that long. It would depend on the talent we have at QB and if we can keep the top players who are suppose to return from transferring. I would expect to be a SBC title contender in year 2 if we get the right QB.

You mean Wiles? I mean, I’m sure Eli would be glad to go under center to help the cause if it was needed, but…
No. The freshman Matthew Wilson #6.
Thanks for clarifying. At this point, I’d be willing to see any sort of unique and wildly unexpected combo that might help us win.
Outside the pics offense hasn’t been that bad today. As the QB kills us again.
The QB is why we still have a chance.
Sorry, I was writing that when Marshall QB took off for another 3rd down conversion run.

That’s a lot of doom and gloom with no basis in fact. In the age of the transfer portal, a good coach can turn around a program in a year or two. Plus, you are going to have other underperforming teams who will have a lot of players looking for playing time. Whoever App’s next coach is could definitely poach some UNC, NC State, Florida St, etc. transfers.

This is the worst App defense I can ever remember.
Hands down. In the history of app state football.
I guess y'all don't remember 2004? That doesn't diminish the level of suck this season.
This ain't 04 and 25 won't look anything like 05. Current coach and staff do not and will not ever figure this out. Not hating or disrespectful to anyone. This is the highest level of suck one team can achieve in several lifetime.
Marshall won't make bowl eligible if that gives you a sense of my opinion on what we are putting out this year.

Ok, so when do we put a spy on the QB? He has killed us.
Or have a linebacker make the right read and stop him running up the middle.

What games on the schedule are still winnable? GA State and ODU are both maybes, every other game is going to be a bad loss.

We once bullied opponents. We were now being punched in the mouth. Soft, soft, soft.

Never said anything about 2005 or 2025. Just said 2004 was really bad too.
