Assuming Clark is fired this season, how many future underperforming seasons would be due to Clark? I am asking what would be the grace period for the next coach.Ncmtn wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:32 pmIf they wait until after the season then every single recruit will be released from their commitment and allowed to go somewhere else. We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

In this age of college football and transfer portal, it can be turned around in a single (off)season.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:35 pmAssuming Clark is fired this season, how many future underperforming seasons would be due Clark? You get one year to suck, one year to be better, then you need to start winning 8-9 games every season.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:35 pmAssuming Clark is fired this season, how many future underperforming seasons would be due Clark? Re: Marshall..?
Based on how we have looked this year we will have to do a complete 180 for Clark not to be fired. I don't think the grace period is that long. It would depend on the talent we have at QB and if we can keep the top players who are suppose to return from transferring. I would expect to be a SBC title contender in year 2 if we get the right QB.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:35 pmAssuming Clark is fired this season, how many future underperforming seasons would be due Clark? Sorry, I was writing that when Marshall QB took off for another 3rd down conversion run.AppinVA wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:24 pmThe QB is why we still have a chance.

Re: Marshall..?
That’s a lot of doom and gloom with no basis in fact. In the age of the transfer portal, a good coach can turn around a program in a year or two. Plus, you are going to have other underperforming teams who will have a lot of players looking for playing time. Whoever App’s next coach is could definitely poach some UNC, NC State, Florida St, etc. transfers.Ncmtn wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:32 pmIf they wait until after the season then every single recruit will be released from their commitment and allowed to go somewhere else. This ain't 04 and 25 won't look anything like 05. Current coach and staff do not and will not ever figure this out. Not hating or disrespectful to anyone. This is the highest level of suck one team can achieve in several lifetime.
Marshall won't make bowl eligible if that gives you a sense of my opinion on what we are putting out this year.

Re: Marshall..?
What games on the schedule are still winnable? GA State and ODU are both maybes, every other game is going to be a bad loss.

Never said anything about 2005 or 2025. Just said 2004 was really bad too.Yosefus wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:41 pmThis ain't 04 and 25 won't look anything like 05.
