Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
I’m happy we won and continued the streak against GA State and Charlie Cobb. But I’d be lying if I said I was pleased with this game. App should be spanking teams like GA State especially when they are at home and GSU has a first year coach. I kind of feel how I did against ULM last year. A win’s a win, but that wasn’t a good one.

I just want to shout out Harrington. That dude has that AppState culture pumping through his veins. Stays engaged throughout the game, a true vocal leader and leads in his play. The Last drive where they tested him on the outside was about as good of coverage you can ask for. He's special.

Great win but we facing a hot ODU team next week...would be huge to pick that one up..we are still not good but we play hard..can clark have a special turnaround like last year?

Glad we won and this is not a statement against coaches or players but the reality is that we have won 1 game against an FCS team and barely squeaked out two wins against inferior FBS teams. Let’s see what happens from here.

Well let's look at this - Todd I am pretty sure you are the guy who was heavily involved with the Fire Satterfield campaign - even posting a FOR SALE sign in front of house
Ballantyne - you need a new act - One post 2 1/2 years is a drop in the bucket for you calling for firing every day
and App12 I have no idea who you are but I can assure you I have forgotten more about coaching and football and being a fan than you will ever know -

Posted a for sale sign in his front yard? That's a slanderous accusation. You been hanging out with Newapp?WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 5:05 pm______________________________________________BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:46 pmHe’s a fine for for his real team. You're def barking up the wrong tree there. You made some asshat post back in the day accusing someone else about being on board with a for sale sign in his front yard....now it's me... search up posts with the word Fire and me posting. You'll find I posted about Roof and Clark. I may have slid a Jones in there. If you search Satterfield/fire and me as the poster you'll find posts where I'm saying I hope he was the extinguisher of Louisville's dumpster fire. Again, you got the wrong one .

Ahmani played great. Awesome to get a win. Targeting call on app was complete bull. I was there and had a great view. And replay couldnt see it . A joke.

Don’t care how it is done, a win is a win. Proud of the team for bouncing back. Can they pull off a run? Who knows, I sure hope so but we have to play complimentary football which we have yet to do this year.

What even more of a player he may have been without all the injuries. Certain cuts he just cannot make given the injuries..love the heart and competitiveness..appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 4:43 pmI just want to shout out Harrington. Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
I recognize being an FBS-level referee isn't an easy job. But the folly of calling a targeting penalty that never happened, then upholding the call on the field even when replay clearly showed it didn't happen, and then allowing GAST multiple uncalled holding penalties all game long...I am at a loss for words.

It was a battle to escape the cellar. We found a way, as ugly as it was. So for this week we are no longer in last place. That’s a long way from where I expected to be but it’s where we are. On to ODU. Just win baby. No excuses.

Our offensive play-calling is way too predictable, and has been for a long time.

When our defense plays well, our offense is fine. I am shocked that the screen to Castle worked today.PoplarHillApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 8:57 pmOur offensive play-calling is way too predictable, and has been for a long time.

Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
While most on here have quite a bit of knowledge on college football, some much more than others and quite a few who “think” they do…… ponder this.
After today’s games the standings in the Sun Belt are almost completely reversed what the pundits were calling for. And….
Georgia State beat Vandy
Vandy beat Bama
Bama beat Georgia
Georgia beat Clemson
Clemson beat App
App beat Georgia State
No matter what “should” happen, you still have to get on the field and play. Sometimes those who “know” the most actually “know” the least, but don’t let it shake your confidence. Keep saying the same thing over and over and it will eventually come full circle for ya!

Re: GA St Discussion-Game Thread
No kidding…who would’ve ever imagined the SBC East would look like this, much less that Vandy would be one of the best teams in the SEC. We’re living in some very interesting times, folks.Kafarmer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 9:40 pmWhile most on here have quite a bit of knowledge on college football, some much more than others and quite a few who “think” they do…… ponder this.
