We would save so much and make so much more if we did it in house with our school of business. Remember when a marketing firm tried to draw us a Yosef and designed a new Yosef costume. The students booed him off the field. Our school understands our school better than any outside firm would or could. Also, think of the benefit for our students with real world experience as an undergrad.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 12:51 amI read this as VERY ENCOURAGING. We are one of the most valuable g5 teams and very close to many p4 teams. If you look at this from a long term investors point of view, I would buy the AppState investment over many of the higher valued teams. There is way more upside for AppState and a legit path to prosperity for AppState. We really need to lean heavy on a marketing group. We need to pay up for professionals. We could easily turn this into western NC's team. HICKORY, WS, Charlotte, Greensboro it just has to be a marketing plan. We need sales people that are paid 100% commission to get our name placed around the state and sold. If you draw a line from downtown Charlotte to Ashville and downtown Charlotte to Greensboro that entire corner of NC should be APPSTATE country and flooded with AppState marketing.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I am not buying that in totality. If the COB had a joint venture or collaboration with a marketing firm, I would be all onboard. There are benefits to being on campus living breathing App. St. and benefits of working in the real world.AppWyo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 11:16 pmWe would save so much and make so much more if we did it in house with our school of business. Are you sure?
I guess that is true, because in the real world we never would have played Michigan let alone beat them.

I 100% agree with this take but we need people out in the communities getting paid to place marketing pieces and rewarded for placing them. Ie Pepesi or Bud getting a sign placed at a convenience store gas pump or cement poll guard. The plan has to be executed not just theorized.AppWyo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 11:16 pmWe would save so much and make so much more if we did it in house with our school of business.
