As much angst and hand-wringing as there is about this season under Loggains, I guarantee it’s far less than we would’ve experienced if SC was still in charge.

And speaking of SC…as much flak as Everts caught from folks on this board (me included), she saw the writing on the wall before most of us did (again, me included).
Agreed overall but based on what the rumors are I am not sure if she saw the writing on the wall or just did not like Shawn for reasons beyond performance as a coach.

Somebody give me something , anything to hold on too!?!!?😳
I can only speak for myself, but I'm incredibly excited for this season because I have no expectations. I could see us winning every game or losing every game, there's just too many unknown variables. However, that unknown makes me more excited to watch the games this year than the last couple years where every game seemed to have tons of pressure and the ability to go south in a hurry.
7-6 with a win over Stink and a bowl win would have me pleased as punch.

This must be what it felt like to be a Cubs fan.

If we lose every game 247, YC, X, and all other App social media will meltdown big time. LOL. The Sun Belt has so many unknowns all over so I feel like a lot of teams probably feel this way. There is not a team on paper that looks head and shoulders above the rest.

With current climate in the world of college football....life is a like a box of chocolates is an understatement. I feel like our superlative right now and hypothetical for sure is our coaching staff.

i think anything less than a bowl appearance would be a bit disappointing this season.

I don't want to get my hopes up but I agree. I won't be upset if we only win 5-6 games but I really think we can win 8 or more this year as long as the QB play is good, we stay healthy, and both lines hold up. We definitely have some talent. I am curious to see how some of our veterans like Jayden Ramsey, Shawn Collins, and Dalton Stroman play. None of them have really put together a big year so far but all 3 of them got potential to be All-Sun Belt for us.

Unless Stroman is going to used in a different capacity, I believe it will some "to be surprised by later' that will end up being the workhorse.

8 has great hands.... would like it to be him..

He is a naturally gifted but frustrating player. He’s a big threat boom/bust guy. I think Barnes, Mbake and Dozier will make more plays and be on the field more.

I remember a lot of us thinking boom or bust with Stroman. He has tools for sure.

Surprised he got an all SBC preseason selection. Hope he proves me wrong.

I can understand that but we know he has talent. He flashed over the last couple years but just could not put it all together. Loggains nominated Stroman so this brings me a question. Did he nominate him because he was returning and wanted a smoke screen for who the top receiver will be or did he nominate Stroman because he expects a huge year from him? It will be interesting to see.

Agree. I think as many close followers do that it comes down to the front line on Defense....of course the OLine and QB situation. The front four on D is in my mind the biggest concern right now.

I think we're sitting pretty. I only have questions about the offense, defense, special teams and coaching.

one thing i dont want to see is a team looking completely unprepared like we saw last year against clemson, so. alabama, and marshall ....at least defensively. i want to see great coaching, smart decisions, great clock management, and a huge improvement on defense. if our offensive line can gel early...i think we could be solid..hard to believe we kick off in 27 days

As far as the Clemson game is concerned, App came out flat…but would anyone have had a snowball’s chance in that game? The Tigers were out for blood that day.

But I agree with you on the others, especially the USA game since it occurred on a short week. I imagine this staff understands the do’s/don’ts of practice regimens and optimizing physical recovery during short weeks. The previous staff clearly did not.
