Looking back on last night, the question that pops into my mind is, “did we really think BB would take over at UNC and immediately set the world on fire?

Reading that ESPN article shows how much of a mess things were after he was hired. For a minute, let’s forget about the girlfriend drama. What HC comes in and summarily fires nearly everyone (without a backfill plan), then scrambles to get anything done because nobody’s left to carry the water?

You sense BB and Lombardi immediately canned the remaining staffers because they were more concerned about leaks to the press than they were about having some framework (regardless of how flimsy) to continue operations while they backfilled staff positions.

As the sage once observed, “Bill, your brought that $h*t on yourself.”
People with good sense figured it would take a little bit of time but the media sure did. They were tweeting out insane click bait calling him the best in college and that he would dominate TCU after the first possession. A lot of tweets did not age well last night.

I thought at the time that Bill was losing valuable time but I was wondering if he really cared because a lot of people think his buyout was written the way it was because he expected a NFL team to come after him before the season started. I like how Loggains handled our situation. He was tipped off that he needed to clean out recruiting but he also waited to evaluate them and to make sure he can get people he wanted for those roles.

No I did not think he would dominate but I didn't think he would be that bad. I have never seen a coaching staff so shellshocked. BB looked like he was in a daydream. He kept staring at that chart like some secret play would come out. His son looked like "what should I do dad ? " I wouldn't spit on unc if it were on fire, but with that said there came a point where I felt bad for the kids.

That is exactly how the coaches looked. Don't feel bad for the players. They are making more money than 95% of us on this board make and they chose to be there. lol

Here’s the problem with hiring BB IMO. He has plenty of money and they are paying him a crapload so he has no downside to failure. You know he is not a longterm guy due to his age. Again, he has no downside to failure. He will just taking Cialis of whatever and keeping a smile on his face as long as UNC is willing to write the checks.

Things are going to get worse before they get better...if they get better...When UNC replaced their QB, who played decently imo, the sideline reporter said that Gio Lopez went back to the locker room and was "screaming in pain". If true its awful for Gio and bad news for UNC.

Their OL was pathetic. They were literally being pushed around all night. Every oposing DC on their schedule saw this and is dialing up the blitz packages...

I saw a statement from an "anonymous" ACC OC last night on social media that said "...College coaches owe it to Bellicheck to run up the score...He can't just come into their game and act like he owns it"...Real or not that coach is correct and I expect every team on their schedule to run it up on UNC.

I've heard people say that this was just a bad night and they'll bounce back...Its hard to wash a loss like that away. It shakes your confidience. Espeically when you lose your starting QB. If they struggle against UNCC, which I expect they will, They may not win a game this year...Except for NC State who always finds a way to screw it up...Thanks Doren

It looked to me like the starter taking a rest may be good for them.

I can just imagine Mack Brown, sitting on the back porch at his Elk River pad this morning with a big cup of coffee and an even bigger grin on his face.
