Let's hear it for the kicking game

In a swirling wind, our punter averaged 52 yards and puts them out inside the 4 yard line. Then our kicker knocks them out of the end zone all night and drills a 48 yarder that looked like it would have been good at 60.

Awesome job!

Cox will probably be the MVP on the team, but Critcher deserves some consideration too. If that kid keeps this up for three more years, he will be our next NFL punter.

The touchback after the 15 yard celebration penalty was a thing of beauty. It took a bounce to get there, but still it was a touchback.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Agree, all of our kickers performed at their best yesterday. Of course, our kick off specialist and FG kicker are not the same individual.

Hap, it may have been the best all around kicking game I have seen us have.

ASU has had great kickers going at least as far back as the Brakefield era with Joe Parker. Parker made one of the last cuts by the Pittsburg Steelers.

His punting was so much better than the spring game. I thought we were in trouble with the transfer from Miami kicking 25yd punts. LOL....

Hats off the the kicking game. Another NFL punter (Freshman) and the kid coming in next year has a leg that can kick a ball from Boone to the Wee!!!!

Future looks great for ASU with the kicking game.

Hate to say this but this one is far from certain. Very far. More in a PM but not here.
