I wore that shirt out. I loved that shirt, until I came home form work one day and my wife had cut it up to use as a rag because the content was "not appropriate" for our four children. I took umbrage, it is never too early to teach children not to like Furman or Marshall.AppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:40 pmFurman too, but not quite as bad.AppDub wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 11:21 amReminds me of the good old days when bootleg shirts were printed and sold for five bucks with game specific artwork. It really shouldn’t be that difficult.
So here is a plan, if I could get a trademark pass, I’ll go design and print 10,000 yellow (gold) App shirts and set up shot outside of the stadium. If I could get them at an all in price of $1.50 per shirt, I’d sell them for $5 a piece. Boom, stadium is all wearing the same shirts.
Now, my idea is exactly what the University should do, and why advanced planning of these color outs are so important.

If he deserves all the credit than good for him. You calling someone negative is comical. I’m not the one that got booted from a message board for being a d!*$.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 2:05 pmSeems like his passion worked more than your negativity?

We all keep hearing about importance of playing complimentary football. That 2007 natty game against Delaware was a perfect example of that. Our defense must have harrassed or sacked Flaco 6 or 7 times and Armanti and KR had their way. One of my favorite games ever to attend in person.rbarthle17 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 2:53 pmNovember 2005 keeps getting further in the rear view window as being the last time I attended a game in Boone. I really hope this Toledo series doesn't get blown up as us coming to the Glass Bowl might be my best chance to see us home or away since the 2007 title game.

Agreed. My buddy and I sat in the Delaware section. Had an older couple next to us asking “where is Boone,NC” and just giving us crap. This was all before the game started and ended very quickly. I went to the 06 championship game as it was my freshman year so I’ll never forget that, but something about the 07 one was magical. Yes it was a 3 peat, but I think from having the high of beating Michigan to the ups and downs of the season and being so close to being out first round to JMU, to the Armanti Edwards show against Richmond, it just captivated how great that team was.MDaniels wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 9:20 pmWe all keep hearing about importance of playing complimentary football. Don't know if it was just him as there were others.
As passionate as he is, he acts on every impulsive idea, doesn't listen to others and is convinced everyone against him are just boomers who want the same uniforms every game. He's also convinced Doug Gillin is a stick in the mud and won't bring back any past logos because "it's detrimental to the App State brand" because Doug wouldn't do the 35,851st idea he came up with.
I know this is gonna get back to him so I hope instead of coming up with 1,000 more ideas that he narrows his focus and let's ideas breath. He can be tiresome.

Well, sometimes we do not need to revisit the past when it is not good (some past helmets, unis, etc.). Sometimes, you just need to keep some things in rearview mirror and not look back.T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 2:45 pmDon't know if it was just him as there were others.

I’m struggling to identify the individual whom you refer to in this post, since it could potentially describe ~50% of the posters here.T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 2:45 pmDon't know if it was just him as there were others.

My issue isn’t his zeal, it’s his sense of fashion. This man dresses like a vagabond on gameday and pushes the most hideous uni and branding ideas.T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 2:45 pmDon't know if it was just him as there were others.

Although I prefer all black at home, the athletic department is attempting to advertise way early to get fans to participate. I appreciate the effort and hope most everyone does show their gold for homecoming.
