Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
Been thinking about this a lot. Based on change in staff and almost completely new roster, sitting at 4-2 at this point of the season, I’d give us a B-. Had we had closer games against So Miss and Boise State, I’d give a better grade. I do think we are better now than when we played them. However, if we lose to Coastal Carolina at Homecoming this weekend, my grade will change to a F-.

Drops from a B to a D after 3 attempted passes on first an goal from the Coastal 5. That's coaching mistakes. Satterfield made the same mistake at So Miss. Run the ball!

Im changing my grade for defense especially. Score 38 points and lose isn't a good look.

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
With three OL starters gone for the season, these grades may fall further.

At this point, I'm thinking our best move may be to drop classes and sell our textbooks for Christmas money.

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
F-, losing to a Coastal team scoring 14 points a game at home for homecoming and allowing 45 points? F-. Or is G or H a grade?

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
It was unacceptable to be bad last year under Clark, bowl wins and the Texas am win notwithstanding but this is somehow ok. People can feel how they feel but it’s ironic. I am not even against the change per sey but if we are hoping we are good in 2027 under DL then that is funny.

So you're comparing a 5 year run to a run of under a year? GJ on being reasonable.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 18, 2025 10:11 pmIt was unacceptable to be bad last year under Clark, bowl wins and the Texas am win notwithstanding but this is somehow ok. I think C- . Sad loss. Still have the season to finish. It could go either way.

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
The program unfortunately has fallen several steps from 2019. Most of the talent is FCS quality with no depth, especially at OL which is shocking to say the least. Dowell is trying to get us back there but will need more than one abbreviated offseason. He will need to totally clean house and get rid of the players who can’t tackle.

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?
Well that won't satisfy the Dowell haters (aka the protectors of the alumni only coach)..... They want it now or else they will gripe about how nothing has changed and Coach Dlo sucks. They aren't smart enough to take into consideration that he didn't get a full off-season, it's a first year coach, the team is piecemeal.... Now if there is no progress next year then we can entertain those gripes.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 7:48 amThe program unfortunately has fallen several steps from 2019.
